  5.  @stinkytoy  If you claim there was corruption, present your evidence? In reality, you cannot, because there was no corruption in NE Victoria relating to local police. Most police were married with young children, and they were well respected in their towns, as they kept their people safe from the Kelly scourge. Show us where there was corruption in government. The Royal Commissioners were ALL anti-police and they went after the police big time, but they found nothing that reflected badly on the police in NE Victoria.

Kelly had no idea what he was burning, and almost certainly he burnt the deeds to freehold properties that poor settlers had paid off. He did not even give his mother any money to pay off her debts. What you have quoted is fiction.

If they complained to the police, he would send his Greta Mob thugs after them to threaten more harm if they shouted too loud. That harm included threats to burn down haystacks, steal more stock, and in extreme cases to murder their children. You have no idea what you are talking about.
