  1. Boomers laid down the ground path. Millennials just trudged on it and added their own share of crap. Gen Xers, in my experience, are more based and less prone to BS. Millennials in contrast are schools of fish, and instead of valuing individualism they value collectivism. If you’re not part of the tribe, then you may as well not exist in their eyes.

  3. The problem is many Millennials are perpetual children. Gen Xers had to face the Cold War threat, the AIDS epidemic, saw the Rodney King beatings and LA Riots, saw OJ Simpson get demonized, watched the news on the Oklahoma City bombings, and so forth. Gen Xers were latchkey kids and Boomers looked at them as the nothing generation. Unlike Millennials, Gen Xers went out and did their own thing as young as 18 - 20 years old. Millennials were stuck with their parents until their late 20s, early 30s.

  5. It's just like when I tried to search actual people posting their thoughts on the hurricane that devastated western North Carolina. All I found from Google was corporate backed videos and organizations saying their piece on the natural disaster. None of it was from regular average people.

  9. I agree with you, but this stuff happened back in the 2000’s. Millennials are now in their 30s with bills to pay, a roof over their head to be concerned about and a job they have to work in. Surely they still aren’t suffering, the ones that still are have made a lot of poor life decisions.

  10. Bioshock Infinite was one of the first instances where I felt the politics was forced. Some of the dialogue and characters felt cringe, if anything else. I also thought parts of GTA V were bad because the story at times takes itself too seriously. In previous games, the drama would be there, but it wasn’t thrown in your face, and most of the characters, who had political motives, felt natural in their ways. GTA IV was a good blend of story and laughing at humorous moments. This balance no longer exists.

  17. Back then you had to put in links on your webpage that would say 'Back' or 'Next', because jumping from webpage to webpage wasn't nearly as seamless as it is now. As much as I miss the 90's, I definitely don't miss things like dial-up, using an oldschool computer mouse (with a track ball), waiting for the Windows 95 computer to boot up, and having to use Internet Explorer or Netscape while the computer was slowing down.

  23. That and you can play the classics. I recently put back my PS2 collection together and I’m having a blast. It’s better than any modern western AAA game. For indies, I can recommend Cuphead, Hollow Knight, Blasphemous, Blazing Chrome, and Aggelos.

The ‘orange man’ triggered the left wing media by constantly talking about him. Anyone conservative or even centrist was interrupted by radical leftists in talk shows. If you consume politics and media 24/7, you are going to be miserable. You have to look out for yourself and improve thyself.

  33.  @derealized797 Velma was created by a Gen Xer actually, but your point still stands. It’s why I’ve mostly written off most anything western entertainment made post 2010 - 2012ish. The past decade has seen a real decline in western standards and values. I would rather watch Wayne’s World, a movie from 1992 that appealed to younger Boomers and Gen Xers, then subject myself to apathetic Zoomer humor.

  44. Most 34 year olds that I know personally weren’t aware of the internet until Napster came along. They weren’t regular internet users until the mid 2000’s when MySpace was the dominant social media platform.

  45.  @Nazraq04  I’m 36, was barely a teenager and my internet regular usage didn’t really start until around 2003 or so. I grew up in a home with one slow PC. My father worked for a tech company but was not involved with networking or electronics himself. We had dial up in 1996, but back then as a 10 year old we had limited availability. I was also not allowed to use the computer unless I had permission or I had to do some homework. I was part of several MySpace groups in the mid 2000’s. My life before that was very limited internet usage. It was not a daily thing in my life. If anything, Asmongold here was exposed to the internet sooner than both of us. And that right there is the problem. Zoomers grew up with phones and computers as early as 2 - 4 years old, and now they’re having all these mental issues. They cannot do interpersonal communication effectively. As a person with autism I could speak better than most of these kids. Social media wasn’t a thing until the mid 2000’s , and that was when internet usage went thru the roof.

  46. Most foster children that I knew personally were abused and manipulated. Foster care is literally punishment for most, and it can take these kids decades to finally get up and work towards something because of the psychological abuse they endured.
