Amazon already bans people for leaving critical 1 star reviews and they removed all comments from being used on reviews. They also own IMDB (Internet Movie Database) and they removed their forums in 2017. Why? Nobody really knows.

That’s why taking care of yourself is so important. People can become crippled from accidents, from not getting any exercise, or just have a set of bad genes that leave them crippled in their older age.
27
@TrineDaely Which amounts to no real choice. Mom and pop stores are going away like flies on sticky paper.
19
@ In the words of a certain individual, "You will own nothing and be happy".
18
@KoKoKen Reminds me when Al Gore was lecturing Millennials about global warming, and how we need to use less resources. Meanwhile he was flying around on his private jet, but that obviously wasn’t using resources, right? 🤷♂️
17
As if seeing western AAA gaming get obliterated wasn’t enough. At the rate this is going I will be trashing this modern tech and going off grid. At least with actual possessions I don’t have to worry about big tech changing things under our noses.
17
@ 2025 sucks. Take me back to 2005. At least back then we had a steady balance of digital and physical.
16
@ Sadly the Internet Archive has already been compromised so ultimately we will need alternatives if our archives are actually going to be safe for the future. You can no longer be free on the internet.
16
The sad truth is they’re making it harder just to own a car. The days of buying a car like people did in the 1980’s and 1990’s and not getting any interference from corporations are long gone.
16
Just by looking at the policies LMG has put in place, that’s not going to please a lot of people who could potentially make their own content on tech.
13
@SandySez This is exactly what I mean. Even something that should be straightforward, like gym memberships, requires smartphones and for you to download an app. They took away clipboards, paper and being able to physically sign. So the smartphone is now a scanner, and they make you do a bunch of garbage that simply didn’t exist 20 years ago. It was much easier to sign a paper, give the person up front your physical cash, and just work out for the day.

I have two clips of Anger Management (2003) with Adam Sandler that I uploaded here a long time ago for entertainment purposes. The Amazon Prime version of the film censored out a line John Turturro made in one of the movie clips I uploaded. My friend brought this to my attention so I had to witness it myself. Sure enough the line was completely removed. I still have the DVD of the classic film with Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. No censorship in it, presented exactly as it did when it was in movie theaters back in the day.

@JamieMadrox195 Corporotism, not free market capitalism. That died a long time ago.
10
@ The reason I care about you is because you are in my age group. There are too many people in our age who simply don't know this stuff is happening.
10
@ Your only solution outside of pirating is track down old hard copies of his works, which is easier said than done. Thanks to this garbage from Amazon, his books are probably now going to increase in price, knowing that they're editing them to fit a narrative.
9
@PygmalionFaciebat CDs have only been feasible for the past 35 years or so. Old vinyl records can easily be scratched and the discs are fragile. For DVDs, it's 25ish years. Books, even paperback can last 100 years, if they are well taken care of.
9
At this rate, I will eventually just ditch modern tech and go off grid.
8
@ Then you're left with pirating, or looking to the pawn shops and flea markets just like we do with old physical Nintendo games.
8
It's not only this, they actually put in disclaimers on video games like the re-released Tomb Raider games that were initially made in the 1990's. They put a disclaimer on The Goodfellas, saying certain dialogue is vulgar and should not be expressed freely. Old British TV shows from the 1970's - 1990's are also subject to this.
7
Sorry to hear about this. I have a friend with physical disabilities and it has been a real nightmare for him to get any real benefits as well as something that isn’t going to price him out of a living. The people on top don’t care.
7
Louis handled this with tact and maturity. There’s literally thousands of screaming YouTubers out there for you to watch.
6
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
6
In contrast, new equipment forces you to buy more new equipment. It’s not just the lack of tools needed to fix nor the lack of know how, it’s also the components themselves being very difficult to work on. It’s entirely by design. Even old toilet components dating back to the 1950’s - 1970’s can still work, because they are easily adjustable and the material is metal, meaning it will last.
6
If I ever meet Louis up close, I will like to congratulate him in person for standing up and fighting against the evil rot our country and our world has fallen to.
5
@Epic3032 I wish I read it.
4
@ People recommend not buying certain pet food products because they will worsen the health of the dogs and cats. It’s not just us. It’s pets now too.
4
Pretty soon they will be telling us the sunshine is bad and we need to be “inside”.
4
@horusfalcon My Walmart changed their checkouts to where you have to follow a specific path just to get your orders paid for. It’s all about abusing the customer to get more money and waste their time.
4
@JamieMadrox195 I can’t imagine the shelves are well organized or even clean. Krogers is beginning to sound like Dollar General.
4
@wanted0 That explains it.
4
Good luck.
4
@ I would rather die than be a slave to all of this. Say good luck to Gen Z and Gen Alpha, because they will need it.
4
@ And? I understand the authors have to make money but I will not tolerable eBooks that not only would be taken away from me, but having the inability to access them later on despite buying them.
4
Just look at old educational videos from decades ago. The kids were smarter and they were expected to be on their own at age 18. College was supposed to be difficult because it had high expectations for students. Many tests contained tough critical thinking questions that forced students to think outside the box. Today you’re just handed generic multiple choice questions and most students cheat, thanks to modern technology.
4
@RolandoMarreroPR Remember when thousands of people said “I cut the cable”? Today thousands of people are saying “I cut the streaming”. Same practice, just newer technology.
4
@ They're already censoring British slang and other puns for the sake of trying to appeal to modern audiences. A number of old British shows now have disclaimers on them on livestreaming services. It's absolutely unacceptable.
3
@ This applies to furniture and appliances too. You're better off buying used furniture from the 1980's and 1990's from a local store somewhere. It won't match newly restored furniture (which is costly) but it will still work better than that garbage furniture you bought on Amazon. I recently replaced a garbage toilet part made with cheap plastic from overseas with a vintage part from the 1970's. The vintage part is easily adjustable, made to last, and can be worked on if it needs metal parts. With the modern plastic, you basically have to throw it away and buy another one. As for movies and shows, pirate if you're a digital only user. Otherwise buy up some DVDs and Blu-Rays. Hope for the best.

The main reason you’re noticing this is because YouTube is much bigger today than it was over a decade ago. Those I used to respect in the past like Angry Joe and The Amazing Athiest I unsubbed because I got tired of their garbage. Others like iJustine fell off and their content became boring. Times have changed. But there will always be petty drama. This is petty drama, let’s be honest here. Drama makes money. That’s what this comes down to. If Angry Joe can be a polarized individual for money, he will jump on that opportunity.
3
Because the world is corrupt. Welcome to the real world. But seriously. This stuff has happened for a long time. It's just that with Louis and Linus, you have fiber internet and always online access to see the drama up close. That's why in many ways, having the conversation leave the living room was better. Because the internet didn't exist or wasn't mainstream back then. LTT is basically the Millennial aged guy who hasn't really grown up with the world, instead resorting to high school, college kid level dialogue in e-mail responses.
3
@horusfalcon They actually make you go through a path just to reach the checkouts. Before, you had several lines of people for each checkout, including self checkout, and you could just walk back to the main floor of the store. Now they make you wait in one singular line, regardless of what checkout stand you’re going to, it’s ridiculous.
3
This 35 year old man has spent over a decade building his channel. I have been here for 20 years now and have seen everyone from PewDiePie and MrBeast to Louis Rossman and ReviewTechUSA change or move on. ReviewTech deleted his channel, people got mad, and they moved on. Boogie2988? Same thing. Angry Joe? He’s not the guy he was over a decade ago. People change. Times change. We are no longer in the era of edgy content and trying to shock viewers like it was on old YouTube. We are in the era of influencers, all on 4K resolution who are essentially drama queens. The amount of so called long time fans who have to announce they are unsubbing from Louis is quite frankly unnecessary.
3
@ I want to ask people this. Do you or anybody else 12 years ago in 2013 ever hear "woke"? Because I used to frequent political forums back then when discussions were often heated and the credibility of America was already put into question (well before this current right wing push). Neither side said "woke". I actually think it started when a certain investment corporation initiated their campaign in 2016 to force all companies that they had their hands in to get mandates. 2016 was probably not the beginning, but that was when this current woke era went full force.
3
This applies to all digital platforms. Steam. Sony. Microsoft. In fact you don't own MS Office Suite, you're just paying for a license. With Adobe, you're paying a monthly fee. If your account gets banned, so does your access to use Photoshop or any other program you used from Adobe.
3
It’s a failed state.
3
Welcome to our cyberpunk dystopia.
3
One of the best things you can do is not bother with corporate.
3
I’m grateful I grew up in a time before the internet was mainstream.
3
This is essentially a trillion dollar corporation. They have all the money and power they could ever want. That's why they're doing this. That's why other book companies from their past (90s - early 2000s) are now just distant memories, to be shared by those who were there to see them.
3
I remember 12 - 15 years ago when thousands of people on the internet commented they cut the cord, because cable TV prices were too high. Now the money people that previously controlled cable TV are in control of streaming services. It’s time to bail ship again.
3
@DimaKirivel And you know it’s on purpose. The modern tech world just sucks now.
