  2. ⁠ @RealBLAlley  A friend of mine has an old computer monitor from 2003, one of the old flat screens. Still works great. The modern screens from Samsung and others are junk. Unbelievable how easy they can be damaged. The same argument can be made for dishwashers, washing machines, etc.

  3. Warcraft 1 is definitely quite dated. I decided to play some old games that I played decades ago and I saw how horrible the path finding is in that game. Canonically, the Orc Campaign is the story, and in Warcraft 2 the story focuses on the Humans trying to win back their homeland. The orcs invaded thru a portal that Medivh, a human warlock, basically opened. Despite the flaws, the old Blizzard titles were awesome. It’s a shame the passion and dedication necessary to make such titles are long gone.

  5. 90’s cable TV was paying for a bill you got in the mail. You get the commercials and the shows, but it was very straightforward. Boomers didn’t pay nearly as much back then. And I was there back then, so I can speak from living memory.

  17. There's a lot of red tape regarding copyright. I own my copies of the Harry Potter books. They're nobody else's but mine. I do not however own the copyright, so I cannot distribute and sell copies of Harry Potter willingly because I'm practically breaking the law.

The Spanish Flu of 1919 wiped out tens of millions of people across the planet. What you have is a man who has been privileged his entire 79 years of existence. And no, I don’t want to hear people say he had to struggle to fight his way to the top. He bought and conned his way there thru his connections, and the fact that he despises the leftist agenda. If this man had a good father and actually earned his right to patriotism, as the soldiers of Normandy experienced in 1944, he wouldn’t be the arrogant, cult of personality man that he is.

When you’re one of the most powerful corporations you don’t have to care, and that’s exactly what happened to Google. Having a good search engine and actually satisfying customers are things of the past.

  40.  @RicardoSantos-oz3uj  I used to think old fashioned 1950's travel with attractive women and men, and 1970's airlines with actual entertainment (piano) was just Hollywood glamorizing things for advertisement. But when I asked old people in their 80's about this stuff, they said these privileges actually existed back then. I've been stuck in coach with complete strangers and crying babies more times then I care to admit. Not to mention consistent delays in flights, confusion with plane tickets, hassle with getting personal luggage either on board or loaded by staff, etc. The list goes on.
