  4. This was very interesting to read. I hope that you are right. The Soviets knew what was in their interest and they knew that Mutual assured destruction was a reality. Can't tell about Putin. So I hope what you said was right. What bothers me is that even though Putin can't watch it by himself he may be able to coerce people to follow his lead. Hopefully not. But if you are right this gives me some hope that he wouldn't be crazy enough to start Armageddon or even capable of doing it.

  6. Defence Minister Shoigu has quite a vivid imagination. Once again Russia has proved that 9 out of 10 times that whatever comes out of their mouths will be a lie . It could be as high as a 99 out of 100 . I noticed some of the Russian troops were using bolt-action rifles that almost look like hunting rifles. They can be very lethal but they give up a lot in the rate of fire. It's hard to shoot somebody when they have shot you first. That is a huge disadvantage in this case. Artur with a little work you can turn your haircut into a mohawk . Then you would look really badass.😊

  7. Yeah on the night that's the berlin wall fell, Putin bluffed his way out of a dangerous situation. And he learned he was good at bluffing. So he loves to do it. However he is crazy enough possibly use them but if we just back down It will make it more likely that we will do nothing about it.

  9. What worries me I think it's the Baltic country Latvia that has a huge Russian speaking originally native Russian population. That would give Putin the excuse he would need to attack. He wanted he could say he was liberating the Latvian separatist from the Latvian Nazis or something stupid like that.

  10. This Wars is quickly becoming a disaster for Russia. They will end up becoming the junior partner to China instead of the other way around. I'm sure the Kim realizes that weapons he sends to Russia can't be used against South Korea. That has to irritate him a little bit. Russia has lost a lot of equipment and Manpower. They can't keep this up forever it would seem. One would think that sooner or later that they are going to lose control, power, and influence in other border areas. Putin is doing a very good job of dismantling the former Soviet Union on his own the West just has to sit back and eat popcorn and watch the show. It's really weird.

For one thing, Germany was forced to fight a 2 front war which required them to use a lot of men and equipment on their eastern front which helped the West tremendously. Shortened the war by many years. Maybe even prevented a stalemate. It took both Russia and the West to win. We realized that Russia suffered very high rate of casualties both civilians and military. We realized a whole lot more than you have been told. So no, it doesn't come across as a lie. What does, though, during that period government newsreels kept talking about our noble Russian allies. Churchill and Paton were able to see through this façade. F. Roosevelt not so much.

  16. I love watching your show! I always watch it to the end. You say that the Russians can afford to spend a billion dollars a day on missiles because of oil and gas exports but do their factories have the capability to replenish them? Will Russia be forced to make Dumber missiles?

  22. Ear plugs do help. I used to work in a boiler facthree. And I would have to take a chipping gun inside a boiler to knock slag off welds & sometimes do some grinding also. Oftentimes someone would be hammering on the outside of the tank. Granted, my hearing is not as good as it was in my 20s. But I can still hear.

  35.  @devrusso  there is a huge military cemetery in Belgium. I have a relative buried there. There might be one or two others in Europe but I don't know. I just know about the one in Belgium. There are pictures of those trains and one was showing the Russian soldiers in body bags that the ukrainians supplied and it was in Ukraine. It was a nice try but you were busted.

  42. Well it looks like that the ukrainians are getting closer 2 to be in range to hit the Crimean Bridge and the bases at sevastopol. When that happens Russia could lose Crimea. I don't think Putin would be a happy camper after that.

Scatter the native locals throughout the Russian empire and replace them with Russian nationals.Then require everybody to speak Russian.So yeah, I guess there is some Russian cultural influence there especially after a few centuries of that policy. That doesn't mean the native local population living there now should have to tolerate any more if they don't want to any more. Most of the Russian speaking people there now seem to be migrant laborers who don't have passports from either country.
