Self propellled artillery should be called SPARTY and I’m not giving up on this
731
“We are missing 439 men” I feel like this was a common saying after 1942
593
For missing T-80s, it’s worth remembering when the Russian economic woes of post USSR happened, the Russian military was still humongous even as it was being downsized, perhaps they began just cancelling spare parts contracts and just cannibalized existing vehicles, as there was no one to man them anyway, or for parts to sell abroad to anyone who wanted to purchase them, or to former soviet republics whos armed forces inherited some Last important thing that many normies miss is that Russian ‘stored’ tanks are not like say American stored tanks, they’re basically just left in mass vehicle graveyards sitting around, pre war Russians held some 15+ brigades worth of ex soviet heavy equipment for mobilization, so the implication is beyond that there aren’t lots of well preserved vehicles

“Any tank is better than no tank” Logistics corps: sweats nervously

Sad German is my favorite icon That and the uh...other ‘escort’ icon...
411
“Except for Fallout 76” truer words could not be spoken
352
„Hey Hans, we are a dealing with a really tough fuel situation, what should we do?” „Franz is it not obvious? Make weapons that shoot oil and fuel!”
340
@ragnarokstravius2074 “it all started with a guy named Charlemagne...” “Wait what? What’s that gotta do with the Wehrmacht?” “WE GET THERE WHEN WE GET THERE!”
250
“24km away” stormtrooper icon
205
“A ‘panzerstein’ monster” I’m wheezing
202
Nebelwerfer tactics: “do you see that building, Hanz?” “Ja” “Then you understand the problem, solve it”
174
“...Unless you don’t believe in logistics” Well I work in the Reichstag, so guess what?! I DONT BELIEVE IN YOUR FAIRY TALE OF ‘Logistics’
156
“If I pronounced your name wrong; you’re welcome”
139
This war is MHV’s worst nightmare A whole bunch of Slavic names to pronounce
97
That’s quite a bold and provocative title…almost like you want to ambush us…
95
Air deployable Panzer II with rockets Because blitzkrieg didn’t die with the Reich
78
Chinese currently have no reason to conduct such…activities…the primary threat is has and remains the Americans for China, relations with Russia being good is very desirable, so they can mostly be ignored while the Chinese solidify their position
67
A sad fate, surviving the most devastating war while captured by the west, and when you finally get to go home, the Russians snatch you
60
“Or other late war problems” Shows a ATG munition
56
Is the suspect reposition line (16:45) a reference/informative to the studying soldier how tanks are blind despite their firepower so you shouldn’t attempt to evade suppression fire and instead just keep pounding the enemy tanks in an effort to put the tank crew on the back foot? I remember chieftain said during his soviet armor doctrine about the Spanish civil war that the T-26 crews could hardly see the anti tank guns since they were so small, which would suggest the best thing for the crew isn’t to move but to stand and fight and try to understand the whole “they can’t see us that well” Staying hidden helps too with the lack of muzzle brake as you mentioned
50
@MilitaryHistoryVisualized you ever hit your own plane with the Flak Bus while using an AP round? I did
48
When the MP40 was the most accurate and in general best SMG of the war too, Hollywood continues to be awful
48
Be warned there’s probably an unknown amount of grass is greener on the other side, it’s easy to point out the flaws in something you know about
42
I think it’s just because they’re similar in capability and people like to make analogous comparisons Most people forget panzer 3 was a medium tank despite being pretty small for a medium tank
41
@Ranyick Panther tank designation began with D, and then went to A
40
I wanna know about the threat to Moldova frankly…especially considering that map Lukashenko showed off where an arrow went into transistria…
39
That would actual have a bigger impact than most may think at first glance It’s the easiest way for the common soldier to see the difference, it was common for officers of merchant fleets centuries ago to eat good while the basic sailors ate watery flour essentially and that was never appreciated
39
@astartesfanboy5294 it’s too innocent we must preserve it no one tell
33
Oh yes another video I can watch with my girlfriend, thanks Bernhard!
32
Ein Minenwerfer, it werfs minen
32
“Enough to make you obsolete and not a world power”
31
I wasn’t a fan of the movie either, and in this scene my first question was “If both sides are fighting each other and we’re coming to help…why not flank the enemy and roll them?”
29
That was a big problem after the invasion of the Soviet Union was the feeling that the panzers were inferior to the Russian tanks especially after 1941, that’s why the whole point in guderians text was for the troops to regain a feeling of weapon superiority over the Russians
28
I mean they left Belarus and Russia Should they be rejected purely for their nationality/ethnicity? That’s exactly what Russia accuses everyone of
27
Sheep op plz nerf visual range
26
@spitefulwar 155mm shell noise
26
Wasn’t there only 800 people who made it back to axis lines after the breakout? Guy was lucky to make it
25
@Furzkampfbomber I detest the Russians on just about everything, but more subjectively I could never blame them for the treatment of German POWs, considering what the reverse situation looked like But yeah, it’s always the top guys who get off scot free, while the lower guys are the ones who take the beating
25
@ wrong, tell that to the starving Soviet citizens “Hey, you guys wanna lose out on 40% of our food supplies? We are already suffering significant hunger” Or the Air Force “hey guys wanna lose almost all of our aluminum and aviation fuel supplies because we don’t make that kind of fuel?” I humbly disagree with this myth Or the factories “hey guys wanna lose out on our machine tool suppliers?” Or the guys making explosives “hey guys wanna lose out on 2/3s of our materials for making explosives?” The Soviets didn’t stop them in 1941, considering they continued pushing in 1942, besides 40% of all medium+ armor was western sourced at the battle of Moscow. I humbly disagree
25
MHV: “ah finally, the Christmas season break has arrived” German government: ”I’m about to end this man’s whole career”
24
Bit hard to say the war was lost in 1940 when the two main forces that would defeat the Germans weren’t in the war I think After all, within outside support (especially American) the Soviets wouldn’t have survived the war, whether or not the Germans lost
24
@georgepalmer5497 no, the M60 is still the M60 even with upgrades, Chieftain went over why this is a silly idea
23
Comparisons make tons of sense, most Tank platoons fight other tank platoons when tank units come against each other An entire battalion isn’t gonna be 5m away from each other on both sides, at the end of the day when a tank goes to shoot another tank, the tank comparison will matter quite a lot
23
@astartesfanboy5294 he used that icon when talking about fighter escorts in I think the Battle of Britain video or some other Luftwaffe video
22
This comment is what I would call making excuses more so than explanations Rifle grenades were nothing new, and every army had intended to support the infantry’s movement with the tanks, no he ammo is: hilarious in all honesty, especially since that’s a majority of all targets you’d be dealing with even in a world war 1 redux
22
as a Jew this comment concerns me
22
“Losses before the battle?!” Rainbow dash token I agree
21
@ that’s great, now tell me how the red Air Force is supposed to not let the Germans rain hellfire again with no fuel and how the Soviet artillery is supposed to…artillery without any explosive material, or how the people are supposed to eat with no food, or how the factories make equipment without tools Stopping them once isn’t enough (just ask the French), you can still be broken, and they would have no ifs ands or buts
21
Just for accuracy the National Guard is a part of the US army, they’re not separate (the Air National Guard is the same for the Air Force) in any meaningful way for him
20
Guess the Germans didn’t have anything wrong with their bloody ships…
