However, everything between November 6 to November 15ish is going to drive me through a wall. It is gonna be THE greatest stress test on the Electoral System ever. Luckily, we have a reliable system with a resilient backbone, and had 4 extra years to prepare since the last subversion/insurrection attempt. WE GOT THIS!

So obvious by the time Puritanism sprang up, they were also persecuted. Everyone thought that their Christianity was the "right way" to worship. The Puritans colonized New England to make a place where they can practice their religion. (But not all religions. They did not establish religious tolerance. They just established a place for only their brand of Christianity.)

So one's actions are seen as a reflection of the cause and the collective of fellow supporters. So, obviously, the poor behavior of supporters can hurt a greater cause. It's not rocket science and shouldn't have to be spelled out.

  46. Great for Johnny! But I hate how the current Legal System doesn't have any (checked) authority to hold journalists and media houses for what they publish. I understand the implications and possible abuses, but a well-crafted and well-checked law needs to be implemented. And I am not just talking about the Heard Opinion Piece that the WP published. Every single story published must be held to journalistic standards. Because without a law like this, agencies like Fox News can lie, stoke civil unrest, and even help a despot try to destroy America's democracy. The public deserves an enforceable and protect Enacted Right Not to be Disinformed. (Misinformation can happen sometimes but disinformation is knowingly spinning lies and propaganda.)

Then claim the reason why you claim it down is that it was "egregiously WrOnG" and that 50 years of precedent doesn't matter (even that's a full 1/5 of the Constitution's lifespan). Alito might as well wrote, "I am a partisan, pro-life hack that cannot be trusted to look neutrally and objectively at the Constitution, legal precedents, civil liberties, and unenumerated rights." The extremist Justices that currently occupy our SCOTUS also violated a fundamental human right; the right to health is a human right (and restricting access to abortion is tantamount to restricting a person's access to medical care).

  50. In my opinion, impeachments should be held under political law instead of being seen as a solely political matter. Politicians should be able to be prosecuted for crimes they committed in office without relying on political whims. (For that, we need a legal system that doesn't base appointments on partisan incentives.)
