  26. The most chilling thing about this incident -- other than the heinous violence against elders -- is the fact that the attacker said the exact same the insurrections were saying on January 6th. "Where's Nancy!?" in an attempt to find her and murder her. I used to think this type of thing couldn't happen anymore, but here we are. So, I just hope law enforcement & the judiciary on the local/state/federal levels prosecute these politically-charged hateful death threats, acts of attempted homicide of high-value politicians, and violent attempts against democracy. Before we actually do lose our democracy and/or someone (like the Speaker) dies. This is supposed to be 21st-century American for god's sake; not Russia, or pre-Reconstruction United States.
