  12. Socialism is not about greed. Just because you have corrupt people calling themselves socialist, that doesn't mean socialism is a bad ideology. Socialism is about social control. That is, a bottom-up, democratic non hierarchical system of organization. It's about workers and communities owning their own resources and means of production which allow workers to own the product of their labor. That's what real freedom is about. Socialism is about freedom. Well you described is what happens under capitalism. Under socialism, the workers and communities on the capitol. Under capitalism the richest members of society own the capital. Whoever owns the capital controls the government and the market. When the workers control the capital, things are made at home and wealth goes to the workers of spend that money into the economy which caused the economy to expand and creates demand. When capitalists are in control of capital they have most things made in china and they get most of the wealth produced by labor. That's how that works. Criticizing socialism, you might as well be criticizing freedom and advocating for your own slavery.

  15. No. He didn't say that you should give anything to anyone. Where did you get that idea from? It's like with Cooperative housing. If someone makes its suggestion that we need to build more Cooperative housing, what does that have to do with your house? How does that translate into people wanting you to give up your home?
