You’re property” which obviously clued the jury into his mental status. Lozier is also an ex-con, having been convicted of impersonating a police officer, he was released on bail and rearrested a year later for violating the conditions of his bail, namely carrying a firearm and continuing to work as an illegal bounty hunter, all while pleading not guilty. He was clearly a danger to society, so he was locked up.
