  4.  @henrymorrey4150  firstly the point is not "free magic energy" the point is a sustainable supply of energy that isn't dependant on finite resources like coal and oil which are already getting more expensive to mind and drill. Wind, Nuclear and Hydro power however a guaranteed supply Secondly you talk as if production costs for Coal, Oil and Natural Gas plants don't exist which they do. The amount of materials that are needed for the production of a coal power plant are huge, as well as the necessity of setting up multiple coal mines which eradicate the earth which was once there. Then there are transport costs both financially and environmentally as a lot of coal power plants throughout the world are still dependant on delivery via trucks. The environmental production costs of wind turbines, nuclear plants and hydroelectric plants dwarf that of the overall cost of non renewable energy factories

  28. The problem with Bapuji is: 1. He never documented his findings 2. Never took photographs of his "aircraft" 3. Based his idea for aviation on a theory that hasn't been recreated 4. Allegedly created an "unmanned" aircraft which isn't what the main focus was about since aerial balloons were already invented As it stands there just isn't sufficient evidence to support the theory that Bapujig invented flight

Old city tramways were stripped and repurposed into roads, old houses in New York, Houston, Los Angeles and most other cities were demolished and sky scrapers were built. Sail ships were left behind and modern energy driven ships were created. Some things we optimise, others we leave behind and create newer, better things

We shut those down because they were a hazard. Most very old refrigerators used were producing CFCs as a byproduct, a chemical that was highly volatile to the ozone layer, when this was learned these fridges were phased out and by 2000 none of them produce it Coal mines were highly subsidised at onset of industrialization because America needed power for it's rapidly growing factories and homes, this highly intensivised companies to set up mines and power plants The government has never acted as a for profit system, it's not designed to do that, the government acts to push and pull the market, sometimes offering incentives, sometimes tariffs, and sometimes bans, so that the people get what they want and how they want it

We've seen how Russia's arsenal of tanks and helicopters have fallen to essentially invisible guerilla fighters, who's to say the same couldn't happen to their air force and infrastructure from invisible aircraft

  45. Personally I think we've already maxed out how unstable we'll be making fighter aircraft. It seems jets are going to be used more as platforms to launch missles nowadays than actual dog fighters so stealth and stability will continue to increase while maneuverability will plateau

  46. Not really though I grew up learning metric and it's very easy for me to visualise how long a metre, centimetre and kilometre is. As for trades over here everything is measured in cm² or its variants and it's very easy. I personally think it's harder and longer to learn and maintain conversion knowledge between imperial and metric and imperial in general

  49. You mean 12. It would take 12 coal power plants to replace Denmark's windfarms. Then there's the matter of mining the coal, a very environmentally damaging process, transporting the coal, a very high carbon emission process and burning the coal, another very high carbon emission process. There's also the huge volume of materials required to build 12 coal power plants and maintain it Nah wind is better
