I admit I am over the top against racism and, anti-Semitism but I was raised this way. If I can reach out to just one, even a little, it's worth it. You can't change what you don't acknowledge. I was raised by parents who taught their 7 children to stand up against hate and bias. It was not allowed in our family. I am far from perfect. I too have biases and misconceptions but I was raised to admit them and work to overcome them.

I didn't vote as a Democrat, and you aren't better or more intelligent if you did or didn't vote Republican. I couldn't care less. I understand by calling out racism when its obvious invites angry responses, if I can make one racist less hateful I did something good today. Why do I care? My parents taught us about racism and anti sematism early very early in life and it was forbidden in our home and relationships. Im convinced racism was taught and demonstrated with all racists from an early age and must be acknowledged to change.

  38.  @ktraglin  There are numerous colleges and universities in the U.S.that either aren't accredited or that lose their accreditation and many students don't know enough to research it and they are rewarded with a degree that isn't worth the paper it's written on. When I meet a student I like to ask.

This part of America is extremely racist and homophobic, but they deny it to outsiders who can see it as plain as day. If you don't support Donald Trump or think it's just fine to carry around guns, they run you out of town. It's segregated and it's not the norm.
