They simply don't understand that it cannot "prove" their case for them by default, and they also have zip evidence FOR the very thing they believe to exist - a flat Earth. Press them on the topic of whatever holds in their flat oceans and they turn to water (pun intended). They don't want their attention diverted in this way as it makes the topic far too uncomfortable for them. Poor deluded fools.

  36. Speed of light travel, or close to it, introduces problems we don't need. We need to concentrate on the supraluminal concepts already floating round. Folding space-time is attractive, and may be what others have already achieved. In fact, if aliens have visited us, they will likely already have solved the problems. However, it's not likely to be an AHA! moment for us any time soon. Plenty of problems to solve before we call in the engineers. Damn this short life we all have to suffer!!
