@dioshiba6066 Apparently YOU didn't watch the video, because the youngest example of workers they used was 14 year olds working in a meat packing plant in Iowa. The video even says most of these teens are working in restaurants, not construction, or warehouses. These are TEENS, not pre-teens. The argument is not that "teens are already allowed to work". YES, they are already allowed to work, but the hours of the day and the amount of hours per week they can legally work are arbitrarily limited. Blocking them from working is not going to force them to study. Keep in mind some of these teen workers are already dropouts with kids of their own to support. What they need to do is make high school classes online and flexible so that kids from the working poor can complete classes at their own pace on their days off. As far as workplace safety, that needs to be a thing to protect workers of ALL ages, not just teens.
I don't know where you came up with that other melodramatic nonsense, but, no, someone who hires a teen or a pre-teen to do a chore is not as bad as a p doe. Nobody gets traumatized for life from mowing lawns!
