Ukraine has been peaceful since ww2 even their independence movement in the early 90s happened without violence. so it was a big deal when the war happened .but in Israel there has been war all the time for 75 years. i remember Israel being in the news pretty much every year. but because the region has religious significands people from all over the world are obsessed with it.

  48. I don't really get the point of boats for the common man. We are seeing places we will never go. Things we will never make use of. We see water very cold water and fish. Being able to travel on the ocean could be neat but just looking at it seems kind of pointless for the average person. If you are a shaman it can be a useful 'natural laboratory' of sorts but personally I can't tell the difference between a kayak or raft "Look, you can see the beach!!" Ok? We see hot sand. I'm trying to pay rent and I'm supposed to get excited about hot sand miles away?
