Tetris was only on expensive computers in laboratories and other work places it was more popular in the west than in the ussr when it was new apparently even pinball was rare. i know in a lot of places it was very popular and was usually the go to alternative if you didn't have the technology to make video games. and when video games were new they were often compared to pinball

They only made them for industrial use they where not accessible to normal people they had a apple 2 clone and it costed the equivalent of 17.000$ 1983 dollars also in Russia they where still making and using knockoff zx spectrums in the early 2000s because normal pcs where too expensive for many people.

  31.  @EmsThaBreaks441  i guess you are right since he contradicts himself a lot compared to someone like Stalin who had more clear and consistent goals. but most Russians have a strange mindset. a lot of them don't like Putin but they are Russian supremacists and will support pretty much everything he does just for the sake of patriotism. they can say i hate Putin but he is the boss its not really about ideology .and if Putin gets replaced they will just obey the next guy even if he is totally different .

  38. the nes was released in 1983 in japan 1985 in America 1987 in western europe and officially never in russia but they had a Chinese copy called Dendy released in 1992 when Sergey was 21 Tetris was made in 1985 on a computer that was only used for scientific research and the military that was a miniaturised version of a 1960s American computer that could only do text and was supposed to be used with a type or printer and not a screen .but they replaced it with a screen but you still had printer like limits like not being able to go back to correct mistakes but they found a trick that made every letter a pixel and allowed the programmer to have more control over the screen. so you could have very low res graphics. the game then got noticed by foreign travellers who copied it and ported to the pc the only games that weren't on expensive computers where thing like. those lcd game and watch like games and a few arcades in major cites and some very rare pong consoles.

  43. My handwriting has not improved since i was 3 years old lol i was considered a genius kid for being able to write at all at that age but 20 years later i looked so dumb with my awful handwriting.

My mom says she watched this show when i was little i didn't realise it was so old. i used to watch a lot of sitcoms like the nanny and married with children and friends. but it was mostly American stuff or from the uk and Australia like home and away and neighbours. i remember 1 Austrian tv action show about a police dog called commissar rex or something .it was in German and there were a lot of mountains so i think its from Austria .

  45.  @kris28-i3c  ok because i am trying to learn polish and i thought it would be fun to watch my favourite old movies and tv shows in polish. but they usually only got a voiceover with 1 person for every character they call it a lektor .and i think its so bad i just turn it off and watch a movie that was made in Poland or youtube .
