There is a strong tax advantage for many and time value of money advantage to being able to take the deduction now in lieu of later, after reading through the cares at a bit, talking to an accountant, and looking at other factors I'd say much of what's going on as far as stimulus will increase the gap between the wealthy and the not so, this is not a political statement, but a subjective economic observation
