@telengardforever7783 What about, "Janissaries began as elite corps made up through the devşirme system of child levy enslavement, by which indigenous European Christian boys from the Balkans (predominantly Albanians, Bulgarians, Croats, Greeks, Romanians, Serbs, and Ukrainians) were taken, levied, subjected to forced circumcision and forced conversion to Islam, and incorporated into the Ottoman army."

Great video. Thanks. Maybe not just for YTers, but for anybody who works for themselves or does gig kinds of jobs. Maybe even good for employees, because you should still be working for yourself, because NB, your employer doesn't love you. One or two minor quibbles. If you've got that agent or other relationship that is supposed to bring in revenue, make sure you track that. I saw a YTer recently talking about a long term relationship where he didn't keep track of the money being deposited and now it's probably gone, and it might cost more to get it in terms of both time and money, than he would recover. And secondly, there are lots of people to pay, our uncle, our mortgage holder, and so forth, but don't forget to pay yourself. Speak to a good accountant and ask them about IRAs and other stuff. Anyway, I'm gonna steal a line from a guy I watch, it's just a thought. Thanks again.

@American_Psycho69420 Yes, we have a somewhat odd system of government. The Federal government is sovereign, but so are the States, sort of, and it is the states that created the Federal government. In theory the Federal government is a government of limited powers and is supposed to follow the Constitution. In practice we sometimes step over those lines and pretend that we didn't step over the line and at the same time pretend the line doesn't exist. But generally things like marriage are left to the states.
Oh, also, in case you decide to read up on this, we more or less follow a Common Law tradition, so it's not just the Constitution, but also case law that rules. Sort of. And also, for some bits here and there the Articles of Confederation, our original constitution so to speak, is still in effect.
