  6. Working out 6 days a week at the gym is a pretty good coping mechanism and also a means to improve your self esteem, health and attraction towards others. Won't fix all your problems but its better than drugs or alcohol. Finding religion also helps, even if just spirtually.

I feel like I live 50/50 between decadent and responsible life style, I don't drink, quit smoking, stopped doing any kind of drugs, work 5 days a week, take the bike and public transportation, walk everywhere, don't go on expensive holidays and most often make my own meals or order food only sometimes.

On the issue of civil war, I would say it's very unlikely, you can have a period like the troubles for sure but for an outright civil war you need certain factors that aren't present right now, one of them is not having any faith in the government process, being a democracy gives some more trust in people that they can always vote for someone to try and fix things, the law is the law untill people no longer follow it, the enforcers are no longer willing to enforce it and the army is no longer willing to enforce the enforcers. What is likely going to happen is that as the demografic collapses start to appear even more clear for most people and they start to feel how other groups start to dominate them they will be forced to pick a side, they will start to counter the rising group but find that their efforts aren't very effective and thus become more radicalized, the point at which a civil war would happen is when at a certain point you have armed groups, area's of controle, a semi collapse in government institutions and then a push for either creating their own new institutions or the take over of those institutions by one group or the other. The end result no matter who wins is going to be a splitting up of society, talented people leave for better shores, large destruction of society, collapse and birth of new systems and then a slow reconstruction with a new estabilished order which will then rule for good or bad for as long as they can untill a new series of conflicts erupts. The nations that will get ahead will be those that skipped all these parts and simply never get there or delay it as long as possible.

In a ideal future, the jappanese government would try and invest more in tools like automation and robotics to help the elderly population, at the same time make overworking illigale for most companies with big fines if they are found out. Furthermore they should try and build cheap housing for young people to live. The government and people are trying things but it's not enough and society is very oppressive and shame based. The west meanwhile is doing it's own stupid thing, so in many ways Japan is doing better than the west but it's different.

I think it's more to do with lack of parental love and affection, indoctrinated into a false sense of reality, growing older realising the false reality is actually horrible, forced to adapt to it while being bombarded by "happy people" on social media, online and on tv, trying to improve your life either failing or not having anyone to trust, love, be intimate with or even have just casual sex with, develop depression, trauma and most likely drug addictions and thus slowly leading towards attempts at suïcide, some as young as 13 years old. I think people misunderstand pain, suffering and hardship and how it effects mental health, people in general and young people can actually survive and deal with a lot of hardship, what they struggle with and what leads to depression is feelings of loneliness, isolation, lack of purpose, low social status and maladaptive coping mechanisms like drugs or alcohol. Our society barely has a family unit, parents are often gone or raised by single mothers, schools are often areas with severe lack of trust, acceptance or affection, social media harms self worth, no wonder young people commit suicide more, you had less suicides in the 1950s when life was much harder, same people, different environments.

I don't realy see how the battle of hastings was won because of christianity but I do agree that group selection makes a lot of sense esspecialy in terms of war, I would love to hear your take on the spartans and their society and how they would first come to dominate greece and then slowly be reduced to nearly nothing, perhaps as you sayd that while group selection happens there is a optimal group selection and a extreem group selection which ultimately destroys the group, perhaps this will happen with islam? only time will tell but if there is one thing uniting atheists, christians, liberals, conservatives, nationalists and libertarians alike it's their dislike of islam.

  21.  @evanhuizenga8626  to be honest, I don't realy blame you, go to some poor asian country and say your looking for a woman to take with you to the west to have a family with or save up money and move there and marry locally and your chances of having more children, more wealth and a better life are higher compared to finding a western woman and starting a family that way. Personally I would still try my luck here but otherwise I might go looking for some eastern European country or asian country to find marriage material.

I do wonder how other civilizations will react to the lowering of IQ, while some civilizations might be able to maintain and perhaps even raise their general IQ levels due to selective immigration, artifical breeding methodes or genetic engineering, I do wonder what is most optimal and how would we do the same thing with our western civilization? are we going to see a revival of authoritarian rule to try and fix this problem? or is it something that only democracies would be able to solve? or perhaps some radical mix between the two systems? I have no idea and while I have my own views, only time will tell which is most optimal.

  24.  @Tyler_W  incel is mostly a derogatory term used by people to label people (mostly men) who struggle in the modern world for a variety of reasons ranging from depression, autism, narcicism, trauma, parental neglect or simply lack romantic value towards woman, there are "incels" who honestly try but get rejected because of their mental illness and social status, they work out and they do their best but fail and society judges them to be falures and that they must do better and will face descrimination and low social status as a result. Its also not just a western problem, it's a problem in all developed societies and made worse by high divorce rate and low birthrates as well as aging. Its easy to see why this is all problematic, elderly people need younger generations to take care of them, few future prospects, youth wasted on getting an education and a job, try and get status and in the meantime also deal with woman who understand their value but no responsibility thus you see the single mother, the 14 cats lady and the rabid feminist, society is pretty sick. Though society has always selected men and some just never got married or formed relationships, never on this scale and so total, most men 50 years ago could always marry down but woman also had to put in the effort or risk raising a child as a single mom which was a big shame and hard thing to do, still is just less so. There is also the reality that you only really need 1 men for 100 woman to get pregnant but 1 woman for 100 men will become a bloodbath or a simp fest, sometimes both. There is no easy solution, men can get wealthy and still find third world countries for woman, many do, others are forced to become hyper competitive, some men just give up or become resentful, take your pick in the mean time most people will be miserable, few children will be born and the west is going to likely become more and more islamic and third world ish as a result of the modern world. No doomerism, just reality, sad but true, adapt and overcome I say.

  27. I feel like a lot of incels may or may not also be voluntary celibate as they may have trouble forming relationship to begin with though that may also just be avoidend personality disorder. Also notice many aren't primarily focused on sex but connection and relationships with other people in general and romanic, while seeing sexual as a bonus. Like if you just want sex you can visit a prostitute or find a woman at a bar or night club and get her drunk but most incels don't do that or want to do that but have zero self esteem. No easy solution but perhaps also the rise in single mother families might have some connection to this as it gives a false sense of expectations and no father figure to help with courting or having self esteem.

  30. I do have to ask, are things like ipads, mobiel phones, pc's and such really that expensive? I mean if you have to buy the next thing for the most expensive price like apple products or what not that will cut into your income for sure but that's not actually that expensive. I know someone who just has to go on expensive holiday's every year which costs at least 1000 euro per person every year. Then there is someone else I know who works 5 days a week but says he can barely pay rent, as well as the higher energy bills, gas for the car(s) and cost of food (you can save a lot of money by eating cheap food for sure but again this is not a major expense) Finding a house or buying a house is super expensive, student loan cost when you graduate is at least 30.000 euro depending on what you studied or which country you got educated at. Not to mention higher medical bills from medicine to operations or pensioners due to aging populations. Basically what i'm saying is yes you can save money by living a much cheaper lifestyle but at the same time the cost of living is rising and will continue to rise, untill we have a great dying of older generations and changes to government and education to return to the norm that produced the great wealth we take for granted today.

  31.  @joubertrouret2769  yeah, most important is to keep going, some days will be beter than others but if you keep going it becomes a habit and then you will feel bad if you skip a day, it's not the end of the world if you skip once or twice but try and compensate for it the next day and keep a journal of progress in notices on your phone, it's annoying to set up but if you got a regular routine it gets easier. I do push, pull and legs with ab training with each one, sometimes I skip them but 9/10 I still try. Diet is harder for me, I already eat quite a lot so cutting down and quiting sugary drinks is a hard goal for me.

I slightly disagree with the proposition at the end, because while Balkanization is certainly possible and is even likely in certain parts of the west like the UK, Belgium, France perhaps, Italy as the central government and culture changes so does the loyalty to those nations change for better or for worse, that being said the opposite is also true, environments with a lot of chaos in them and a sense of fear and despair are going to turn towards either religion or utopian ideologies, now some nations will turn to religion as is likely the case in most of eastern Europe but in the west it's likely to be more utopian ideologies that takes shape and I think the main ideas that will start to melt into the wider societies will be nationalism, pan nationalism, transhumanism, techno-gainism, communism/neo communism and ethnic nationalism/racial nationalism The reason why I think these ideologies will play a role in whole or in part is due to the ethnic/cultural tensions, climate change, present day environmentalism not working as envisioned and collapse of economic systems as well as new technologies shaping society, all these things thrown together is going to be a free for all for competing groups and they can evolve in very strange ways, you could see environmentalist islamists who want equality in ways that mirror communists from the past, you could see pan European transhumanists who want to create their own god machine "leader" to guide them, you could see fascistic capitalists with christian state religion. It all depends on who grows the most, gets the upper hand and crushed the other.

Im not sure how true this is, I think there is a difference in bullying as in adressing someone's weakness/flaw and how most bullying is which is often insecure, weaker people trying to humiliate those better then them as a means to seem better then they actually are. Most bullies I've seen are either hyper masculine, strong personality types or weak and insecure types, people who don't bully are often just normal people. Though how do you measure bullying? Some people think simply disagreeing with someone is a form of bullying or being honest towards someone, when in fact it is not.

  35. Back in 2016 I had such high hopes for the UK that things might become better for it's people and future compared to the rest of us here in the EU. I could not have imagined things to become so horrible, so much worse then I could have imagined. It's horrible and fills me with dread.

  36.  @averagedemocrat9546  well the thing is they do and they have, just not that often and often times for very basic reasons. In the west we still have a lot of faith in democratic systems, yet each election people tend to vote for the same parties and act suprised when it's the same outcome, in much of the third world the air of revolution and armed revolt is ever present but the outcomes tend to be bad. That's the catch 22, no revolt slow decline, revolt potential for fast decline, few nations that have any sort of revolution get to see better days than before. Sadly most people don't care about big ideas or views of a beter future, they barely look beyond 1-2 years, let alone decades or centuries.

Innovation might prolong such a collapse for sure but unless you get a worldwide effort to controle or influence birthrates it is inevitable that growth spikes will happen and continue to grow, the assumption here is that humanity will continue to exist for the next 500 years at least and have no major wars, while retaining or even regaining high population growth. It's important to note we can't predict the future and that Malthusian presures do exist but we tend to innovate to adapt to changes but assuming that's going to work forever to me is not wise.

I feel like the major issue is the aging problem, the low birthrates are somewhat caused by having an aging population, the elderly vote the most and are in most western governments, the population collapse is going to be very bad and then most people will realise just how much we've messed up. Though I do think technology and aggresive policy changes could fix a lot of our collective issues, it's not just Poland or western Europe, it's most of the world realy.

  41. you would think they would at least wait till their husbands are dead before moving on.... it would be interesting to hear how they try and justify it or measure if this will effect their chances with other men, do they even care at all? are they just lonely? were they planning on leaving from the start? did they at least try to keep it up for a year or a few months? so many question yet I expect it to be not much of reasoning going on besides ''I deserve it'' or ''he was not a good man anyways''

  43.  @Teflondex  yeah I realised this too around age 16 and then spiraled into a very bad time trying to come to grips with the world and only really started to improve my life around age 26, im 29 now and life is still pretty shitty but it's not in the gutters where it used to be and there is some hope, where as before there was only despair and escapism. Life will never be perfect and others will have lived you can only dream of sometimes but knowing there is hope and that you can improve yourself and help your family and loved ones is the thing that can push you when everything else falls apart.

I am a bit confused on the religeus part, I can understand that people who are religieus have more children but as we all know being religieus corolates with low IQ populations, you could argue the ideal would be part religeus and part seculare as is the case with the USA but then we have nations like China and Japan which aren´t religieus with higher IQ populations, yet with smaller birthrates, if they would be outcompeted by low IQ people's birthrates would they not become very hostile to low IQ populations? this to me seems to be moving towards the logical conclusion that high IQ populations are going to attempt to destroy low IQ populations while using artifical means of raising their birthrates to maintain high IQ populations, is that a wrong observation or not? otherwise it seems all civilizations would collapse to low IQ status which I doubt all nations are going to allow to happen.

  45. Some of these traits seem to overlap with autism but its hard to say if they are similar or if they are comorbid in developing. For example, Autistic people don't often understand people, causing miscommunication which leads to frustration and confusion which leads to a need to develop a system of how the world work which means dividing people into types who then potentially can be seen as harmful, thus leading to paranoia and so on. How would an autistic person become schizoid typical though in regards to belief in god or religion? Do they become ideologically radical instead of religieusly fanatical?

I kindly disagree on the genetic engineering solutions, I agree it would be hard to implement some sort of government policy however people would be interested in doing this on an individual level, most likely rich elites who have the funds, the immorality and influence to get it done, thus getting a trickle of improved genetics overtime compared to the overal decline in the majority of humanity but they will most likely be unable to defeat this small elite. There are also other civilizations besides the west that are highly group oriented like the Chinese, the Jappanese or even the Koreans now they might also be/get into decline but there are many such civilizations and communities in the world.
