Very unlikely to see a pre-emptive strike since China sells most of it's products to the USA. Why would they do that if they could just sit back and just keep growing?

@changelastsforever5702 if the Chinese economy stops growing, if discontent is growing and there is an surplus of males over females in the population (like they have right now) then the likelyhood of war becomes more realistic but they won't attack the USA directly they would probably make use of a proxy and seek to engage that way. Most likely try to restart the korean conflict, seek to destabalize vietnam, try to bribe Australia (which they already have) to look the other way, basicaly fight in every way except directly though that's not certain, it depends on the situation and what course of action would be most efficiënt.

@changelastsforever5702 trade has actualy prevented war in most cases it's when the leaders don't know what to do or are ideologically driven that they would suddenly attack. It's sorta like roulette, you place your bets and hope for the best, USA is one of the last collonial powers that not only kept all the lands they annex but made sure to demografically colonize it too, unlike the Europeans in most of their colonies, ironic how everyone seems to hate us despite that reality.
