does anyone know if the GCC has plans to form their own sorta middle-eastern political/economic union like the EU? because when you look at countries like Jordan they are forced to work with other nations just to survive but if they had more economic freedom would that not benefit their economy more?

@khaledaldalabih5530 wait what about israel? Aren't they in the GCC? And a democracy? I don't know anything about the jordan royal family are they like the saudi's or worse?

@khaledaldalabih5530 intresting, so israel has no influence or shared economic goals in the region with the arab states? I assume they have some trade agreements but nothing like the EU? I know the african union wants to become somewhat of an EU like organisations but is there no group for all of the middle-east?

@khaledaldalabih5530 yeah israel is a bit akward and often does things no other nation could get away with, also they are rather aggresive though perhaps nessisary, it's a kinda strange and unsustainable long term I think, I think it was Christopher Hitchens who sayd zionism was silly because it would create conflict with the arabs and muslims, though he later became very pro zionism later in life. Idk I had hoped they would have some beter relations then this.
