  2. Back in the day when democracy was being introduced not everyone could vote, you had to be pretty responsible and achieved to vote, or aristocracy. Now the latter is bad, but the former sounds good. I know I don't want to have to vote for sure.

  10. I mean the game has a budget, they can't lose more than they have spent. Nothing we can do about it, but don't worry when we get 10th gen consoles and we get 2 billion more polygons that don't matter, AAA games will cost billions to make and they will lose billions.

Even if you say they were all paid the average salary for Washington which is roughly 58 000$, that's almost 10 million a year in just salaries. And they do earn more than the average salary I promise you. Then you have all sort of other expenses.

  15. Lower graphical fidelity is what allows games to be excellent and not broken on release, while also avoiding microtransacrions. High graphical fidelity is the reason most AAA games cost 100-500 million dollars, why devs can't test the game for more than 2 months before release and why unless they sell CoD or GTA numbers need to put microtransacrions to mitigate risk... Most AAA games sell 2-5 million copies while costing 100-250 million dollars and they get 34-37$ per unit sold at 60$.

  19. You aren't too dumb, you just haven't studied(not at school or uni) everyday for 5-7 years consistently with intent to learn and apply. The question is how much life do you want. And I'm an engineer, so I know. Nowadays that's the biggest question on my mind. Do I want to enjoy life or be a good engineer.

Back during TBC, WotLK and Cata people complained that the game was getting too easy and not enough content to play and that content wasn't repeated enough times, now it's the opposite to a degree. And some people didn't want to have the simple system of Valor/Justice points, because they didn't want guaranteed gear(which I've always disagreed with). The RNG junkies. What it really is, is that you can't please anyone. I think that there should be just Valor and Justice, badge systems aren't complicated, they just artificially increase time to get the gear. Also the content is too little for people that play more than 2-3 hours a day. I play WoW 1 hour a day along with 2-3 hours twice a week for raiding. I do agree that there should be horizontal progression though, older tiers(tbc and newer) should be scaled to Normal Raid difficulty and drop the same ilvl. This way every time a new tier drops, every raid in the game is valid. Same with Dungeons and old max-level zones.

That's like saying the government never had to bribe the army... no duh, they control the army... I would like to see if valve would have won if steam and the epic store started in the same year, not 12-13 years apart.

  27.  @supimzazz  Steam doesn't do anything, because EGS never gained any traction. Steam were allowed to suck for over a decade due to lack of competition. There should be a law where in each field and sub-field there are at least 5-6 competitors and nobody can have more than 40% of the market share.

  34. Eat roasted/boiled meat and vegetables, drink water and 0 calorie drinks, nothing else. Walk for 30 minutes to 1 hour a day, that's until you reach 90kg or so. Stay hungry. Then start going to the gym 4x times a week and do exercises with medium intensity, no need to push to failure in the beginning.

  36. @ Fit doesn't mean muscle mass for most activities. Toned armes are the least impressive muscle and those are the ones that tone themselves just by losing weight and being lean. Chest, back and shoulders are much more impressive.

  38.  @vinceunknown1935  The problem isn't the total population count, but the ratio of young to old people. With low birth rates we get a ton of old people per one young person. Right now there are 2-3x young working people per 1x retired person, in the future it will be 1x young working person per 4-7x retired people. If you think kids are expensive to take care of, imagine taking care of old people, much harder and more expensive, be it directly or indirectly.

  43. This is exactly why it should NOT give higher rewards than mythic raiding, because dungeons have far simpler and fewer mechanics than raids even with the affixes. Mythic+ is mostly numerical difficulty, raids have mechanical difficulty.

  50.  @Purplepentapus_  I played both, the real problem is that their gameplay loop and systems aren't good enough for a game longer than 8-10 hours and the story after the first half of Zero Dawn just became worse and worse and Forbidden West was even worse.
