@lemcakes32422 I wouldn't buy a chinese EV as I am flammable last time I checked, same with tesla. Also tariffs make sense sadly. If there weren't any stupid environmental fees and tons of other taxes and fees, Europe wouldn't have exported its production to other countries...
3
@lemcakes32422 King of catching on fire? Sure

@NaNoTech4Disaster Modern SUVs(Super Useless Vehicles) are not practical in the least... they have the same ground clearance as Sedans, Hatchbacks and Wagons, maybe a bit higher due to slightly bigger tires, with all the downsides of an SUV: higher weight, worse fuel economy, worse acceleration, worse cornering, and they don't even have more space on the inside, because of all the modern regulations.
3
@UtopiaYA Do you understand that batteries cause more harm than good. Just because you take the damage outside of the city, doesn't mean that they don't damage the environment. All that lithium being mined and processed and all the batteries that are disposed. You want healthy? Decentralize the population and use alternative fuels for cars, right now they are making a new type of synthetic fuel from water and the CO2 in the air that has next to no pollution and is already in production, but on a very limited scale so it's expensive for now. Also while making the fuel they clean the oceans slightly and clean the air from CO2.
3
@CountFisco Not sure I'd classify this as wokeness, but it's almost as dumb.
3
@MegaLeonilde And a <50ms shifting gearbox vs a 200-250ms shifting gearbox.
3
@girlsdrinkfeck I think the back cools like a seat and the front more like a Camaro, not a mustang.
3
@YusufJoeKarolia I'm not hating, but that's BMW's problem. They need to figure out how to put the power down with and without traction control. The M3 is an expensive car it should have everything working well.
3
@TheBoringDj My point was that the car itself combusts, because youtube keeps deleting my comments regarding the word of objects that combust and cars from a specific asian country.
3
@krishpanzade7109 from what I've heard and read it really depends on where you buy a VW. Americans seem to get lower quality VW cars than Europeans.
3
@NegerKim when? In what situation do you do 0 and stop accelerating at 100? You can do 0 to 50, 0 to 90, 0 to 140... where do you have a speed limit of 100?
3
@ryanalley2446 exactly. nowhere in the world is there a 100kph speed limit. It's either 90kph regular roads between cities, 50kph in the city and 110-140kph on highways.
3
@carlosandleon You forget that the car culture is dead and a lot fewer of the affordable cars are actually fast or let alone sports cars... Nowadays people buy econoboxes and they aren't into cars like they were in the 70s, 80s and 90s... Nowadays police, cameras and laws are a lot stricter. Nowadays cars have abs, traction and stability control, which adds no weight to cars. Tires are also much better, and so are suspensions. Neither of those adds to the weight of the car... The biggest improvement since then to the body itself is not it becoming this fat behemoth, but making it so when you crash the engine goes down instead of inside the the cabin, which again doesn't add weight to the car.
3
@kivancderin8958 I don't what your problem is? Hyundais are awesome. If only they were rear-wheel drive, oh wait there is Genesis XD
3
@ethanhunt528 So does Hyundai/Kia/Genesis And the BMW 1 to 4 series are not "luxury" the luxury models start from 5 series and above
3
I don't get it
2
IDK if they can be as successful with the R36 as with the R35, because nowdays all the other super cars have gone bonkers with huge turbo engines and/or hybrid and/or fully electric. Now for the price, it might be the fastest thing, which is where the charm of the Skyline GTRs was back in the day, they were much cheaper than their competition and just as fast or faster. Even if Nissan makes a 4.0 V6 with quad turbos or twin geometry changing turbo, I don't see it passing 800-850HP and that's a lot, but many other cars are lighter and have the same or even more power. I'd rather them try and make a new Silvia and the Z is fantastic.
2
@nobrakes7892 I'd say that the new M4 is the best looking BMW since E46, but everything after E46 is just so fat.
2
@ the F10 is better than the E90, but it's still fat compared to the E30, E36 and E46.
2
Yup, gotta meet regulations...
2
@fabioribeiro5071 We don't have e85 here, we have A95, A98 and A100, which I think are equivalent to 91, 93 and 95 in the USA, right? Can it run on those fuels at higher than 800HP stock?
2
if the mesh was different I think it would look great tbh.
2
Nah the FK2 isn't good looking, I'd say the FL5 > FK8 > EP3 > FK2 > FN2. The Asian Civics during the FK2 and FN2 era look the best, but they are only available to the Asian market and I think they were sedans or liftbacks too, not hatchbacks.
2
@Timmax95 Yeah, yeah, but practicality can be achieved at lower weight for sure. If cars become mere tools, then we've lost.
2
@lemcakes32422 I know, it's sad. The M5 should be 1300-1400kg at most, which is almost half of what it weighs.
2
@Yanate1991 There is no such thing as a sporty 508 that limousine is not sporty at all.
2
You can thank regulations for that
2
We need a R36! The R35 has an outdated gearbox, outdated turbo design that doesn't have a wide range of peak torque...
2
@martinsvensson6884 The non-economy-box 80s and 90s Japanese cars were much more advanced in many ways than most cars out there at the time.
2
It's already been studied 100 times, they just refuse to learn.
2
@siraff4461 Yup I give them that, and not only a V12, but a naturally aspirated one and it's probably the best looking SUV I've seen.
2
@_Thundrix Exactly this!
2
@chillout1109 the problem with SUVs is rarely the engine, it's the body.
2
Almost everything is better than a SUV. SUV = Super Useless Vehicle.
2
M240i/M2
2
@mrb2349 That's the problem, that it's more beefy. Slim is the name of the game.
2
@johnstape4488 Yup, it's about 1000kg with 140hp which is pretty hasty. Though I imagine the build quality isn't great.
2
How long until it becomes a "combustion" car? In time for the holidays by any chance?
2
New cars aren't worth it anymore.
2
@aadityaarora6389 Only real SUVs, like back in the day, with the very tall and strong suspensions and giant tires. Modern SUVs are very useless, they are a tall chasis, but low-ish to the ground, the hummer and maybe the bronco are the closest to a proper SUV.
2
They are hinting at people to do the same.
2
I'm hating heavy cars in general.
2
+g9icy 0-60mph/0-100kmh: Fiesta ST -> 6.5 seconds Polo GTI -> 6.7 seconds Yaris GRMN -> 6.3-6.5 seconds 208 GTI -> 6.5 seconds MINI JCW -> 6.3 seconds And those would matter if the race was less than 6 seconds.
2
@NegerKim Because I'm right and you have no arguments.
2
@VersanGetryx Well our roads(and the whole of eastern Europe's roads) were filled with speed cameras due to how much people didn't follow the speed limits, so that's no longer applicable. There are many long straights that should have no speed limit... or at least 180kph... but oh well.
2
@vg4472 Yes, because it wasn't affected by the new(at the time) regulations iirc.
2
@carlosandleon and all the things that truly matter don't make cars fat, and ugly, the wide pillars and thick bodies aren't that important... The most important are abs, traction control, stability control, much better tires, much better suspensions and air bags, they don't add any real weight to the car... unlike the fat bodies. And they made the bodies fatter just so they can use more plastic crap...
2
How fast is a stock RS3?
2
@phoenixx_slayzz2022 Sure, but I was serious when I said that it's a good supra. IMO BMW has carried the Supra "spirit" very well over the years, especially with their coupes.
2
From modern American cars: Challenger, Mustang, Corvette From older cars: Charger, the Cuda, Firebird and SS
