"the ones flying -Sovier- Soviet flags on their John Deere tractors."
It would seem that this is another form of insurrectionist activity, fomented by Russia, as was done in 2013-14 in Crimea and the Donbas region, prior to Russia's military actions against Ukraine, commenced in 2014.
A search of the influence of the Russian, Igor Girkin/Strelkov will provide information about the influence of the Russian military and the GRU/FSB in the Eastern regions of Ukraine.
I believe that the current "protests and blockades" are extremely unlikely to be a reflection of popular sentiment in Poland. However, they are having the desired effect, from the Russian perspective, of creating division, disharmony and antagonism between countries such as Poland and Ukraine as well as in and between other countries. All according to the usual and well known Russian "modus operandi".
{"The term "modus operandi" is a Latin term that describes an individual or group's habitual way of operating, which represents a discernible pattern. A modus operandi (commonly abbreviated as "M.O.") is mainly used to discuss criminal behavior and is often used by professionals to prevent future crimes."}

@tvp8501 The Southern US border is not insecure, but porous. The issue is not security of the border, because there is no-one and no country attempting to alter the location of the border, as is occurring in Ukraine.
The question to be addressed is the degree of porosity, between totally open, O% restriction, to 100% restriction, implying "absolutely no flow". I do not believe that the Republicans calling for "border security", even know precisely what they want, or the level of restriction. I have seen absolutely no indication that those specific Republicans, such as Greene, Gaetz and even Johnson, have actually and clearly defined anything other than shouting "Border Security" with no clarity about their expectations.

@ciberzombiegaming8207 Your position is really understandable. Unfortunately, I am inclined to think that concerns about Russia's wish to recover more of the previously held territories and countries, if it is successful in Ukraine, are realistic. Therefore I can also understand the desire of people in Lithuania and other countries, in similar situations, to wish to support Ukraine. I believe that the Ukrainian people are really doing a mighty job, not only for themselves, but also for others. With Best Wishes to the Ukrainians with a huge salute.

Right from the start of the WAR waged by Russia against Ukraine, first in 2014 and in the full-scale 2nd offensive by Russia, the Ukrainians have stood their ground against overwhelming odds. Gradually, as the Ukrainians demonstrated their determination, courage and capacity to use sound tactics, the Ukrainians have been offered ever increasing military and humanitarian support by more than 60 countries of the Free World. Some say that support has been too slow. I disagree. Had massive support been offered, the WAR waged by Russia would likely have been much "hotter" with a greater loss of life of Ukrainian civilians and military personnel and even more devastation and destruction.
There are two main reasons for the Ukrainians not advancing more rapidly. They are:
--- that the attrition of the Russian weapons and resources is imperative to allow for the least possible number of Ukrainian casualties in the advance
--- to not cause a disproportionate escalation that may otherwise initiate a greater response by the Russians. This has been a main consideration of Ukraine and their supporters. Again, with the intention of costing fewer lives of Ukrainian civilians and military personnel and less destruction of infrastructure and property than may otherwise have been precipitated. This is despite the obvious Russian attempts to take as many lives and cause as much physical damage and destruction as they can.
This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. From ORYX website.
Russia: Total hardware and equipment losses and Tanks 24 Feb 2022 to 3 Oct 2023
Total - 12311, of which: destroyed: 8474, damaged: 499, abandoned: 457, captured: 2882
Tanks - 2329, of which destroyed: 1518, damaged: 129, abandoned: 134, captured: 550
Ukraine: Total hardware and equipment losses and Tanks 24 Feb 2022 to 3 Oct 2023
Total - 4510, of which: destroyed: 3045, damaged: 345, abandoned: 162, captured: 958
Tanks - 656, of which destroyed: 429, damaged: 53, abandoned: 32, captured: 142
Had Ukraine undertaken a full-on offensive in February-March 2022, the Russians would have had a better than 3:1 advantage in hardware, equipment and personnel. Neither would the Ukrainians, by their courage, determination and tactics, have shown that they were serious and earned the respect, support and assistance that has been offered to date by more that 60 countries. Consequently, the Russian invasion and WAR may well have been successful if a full-scale response had been mounted by the Ukrainians. Much as it is desired that bad events end quickly, speed is not always advantageous or beneficial.
🇺🇦 Victory for Ukraine, Absolute Victory 🇺🇦
