Today China's foreign trade dependence is only 31%, and Sino-US trade only accounts for 10% of China's total trade, China's trade surplus still remains rising and the largest in the world, never declined since 2018.
China's exports to non-Western countries even has surpassed the sum of Europe, the United States and Japan, so China's biggest market is not pro-US world anymore, China even became the largest trading partner with 140 countries, remember BRI is 152 countries?
Xi has already been through Trump's first and sudden trade war, it didn't hurt China much but American inflation really killed Trump and Biden's regime, so can Trump do better his second four years?
Well, Many people don't know that as early as 15 years ago, China began to de-risk the US market, very early planning, China's GDP growth rate reached a terrifying 14% in 2007, but the US subprime mortgage crisis caused a global financial crisis, and the purchasing power of all developed countries dropped sharply in 2008. Therefore, hundreds of thousands of Chinese factories closed down and tens of millions of Chinese workers lost their jobs. Because China's foreign trade dependence was 64% in 2007, the United States was the customer that China could not lose.
Therefore, Hu Jingtao decided to buy huge US treasury bonds and start crazy infrastructure-based economic stimulus plan to make himself and the US economy recover successfully in 2009. Ironically, it's the Communist bailed out Americans from the crisis created by Wall Street capitalists. Since 2013, the United States began to use Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, S.Korea and the Philippines even TPP to contain China. Since then, Xi Jinping publicly proposed a more specific idea Belt and Road Initiative to the world, which is to reduce dependence on the United States as quick as possible.
Anyways, American forgot the only two wars they lost was the Korean War and Vietnam War for containing China, so when the PRC was much weaker and poorer than India Africa but neither the United States nor the Soviet Union failed to contain China in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan..
Trade war, Tech war, Financial war, Propaganda war? Well, CCP would say Vietnam War and Propaganda war was harder to win for China.

Africa has rich natural resources, West company is digging it..so why Africa is still hungry today, but Saudi Arabia is rich??

most political elites in developing countries are studying in Western university, so they should be more pro-West than pro-China, but why poor countries can't get loans from World Bank or IMF? because Western loan has worse condition, actually most good resource are already controlled by Western capitals and many countries are like Banana Republic, well but you never get roads, bridges, ports, power stations, schools, hospitals from West AID, so what democratic reform means here? it just means pro-West for everything, democratic debt trap never be reported on Western media.

The real exploitative trap of IMF and World Bank is that they require the recipient country to implement neoliberal economic policy in order to receive so-called SAL (Structural Adjustment Loans). Developing countries have to privatize state owned enterprise, lower trade barrier, reduce public spending, remove state subsidies on key sectors. All those neoliberal policies will wipe out the developing countries' remaining weak industrial sector and make them a dumping ground for expensive foreign goods, like Latin America just can't get out from middle income trap for decades after they got helped by IMF several times, Banana Republic in Latin America can't even feed locals even they sold millions of tons bananas to USA for decades, such multinational corporations behind IMF and World Bank can come in and make huge revenues by exploiting local labors and natural resource and paid almost nothing, US capitals even can control major stock share of very good company in Latin America, Asia and Indochina after IMF 'helped' them after financial crisis, that's why those patriotic economic offcials of developing countries would prefer Chinese loans, do you think elites in poor countries they don't see Western propaganda? Actually many African elites graduated from Western universities so they are educated people, Yes they saw but still choose Chinese loan just because IMF loan is much much worse condition, at least you get something real and touchable roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, power stations, factories and Chinese market from working with China, but if you only work with USA then you can only get so-called untouchable 'democracy and human rights', and remain as corrupt and poor country.
IMF and World Bank are complicit with big capitalists and corporations. They don't care about the industrial and manufacturing progress in developing countries. In fact, they prefer developing countries not to become industrialized countries because they don't want another 1.4 billion industrialized Africa, USA barely built infrastructures in Latin America, Africa even USA herself because only normal people will use public roads, public bridges, power stations, public hospitals, why should those First World like 1% elites in Wallstreet build roads for people in Third World or poor communities? It will waste too much time and money for them, as long as they can control media then they can easily put one pro-USA democratic regime or pro-USA ring-wing dictator by regime change, Those Wallstreet elites don't even build infrastructure for American voters anymore for decades then what you expect they can build for other races? if not for competing with China's infrastructure, do you really think Biden really has motive to pass infrastrucuture bill? if Americans finally got new infrastructures, if American company finally build roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, power stations in Africa to win your heart, they should thank China for that pushing those exploitative politicians to do that, because if China never came to Africa, people will never see those top rich would care the poor and build basic human rights for you.
