  9. That looked like such a peaceful morning drive, Ted. The BMW v12 seems drama free in nature. I love old BMWs like this, E30, 2002, Bavaria, Z3, but I’m not a fan of the modern Turbo ones.

People moan about 1970s domestic cars being slow, but I love these sports coupes of the era like this 2002, Alfa GTV, Fiat 124 Coupe and Dino Coupe, Ford Capri, etc. This 02 is particularly lovely. I’d trade my E30 and Z3 for it in a heartbeat. ❤. (I love old houses, cars, furniture, clothing, etc.)

  24.  @ac2litre  Wow, the AC 2 Litre is cool and has to be even more rare as a Mark Vii.👍. Yeah, the “old man” does a good job keeping the fleet on the road and making progress on the antiques. He is a former Fiat guy, now converted to Jags, especially x300s because they don’t break down! We go to shows in the summer. It’s a fun hobby for middle aged people,lol. Have a great holiday.😘

  25. Another winner, Ted. Lol, I am looking for a modestly priced 04-09 XJ or XJR right now. I like the earlier 4.0 liter cars, but the timing chain tensioner issues scare me. My husband has an X300 which is bulletproof. Hope your back improves.👍

  26. Honda and Toyota made their good names on NA durability and reliability. I wonder if going turbo is a wise move for them seeing as how it may jeopardize their carefully protected reputation? Most folks go to those companies not for the greatest styling or even most advanced tech. So if they begin to have the normal industry turbo issues I wonder where this leaves them in ten years. Ps. Pretty interior.

  28. When I was a kid back in the 80s a Targa seemed to be a bit of a penalty box compared to the other Porsches. This 992 gen is sexxy tho. That would make such a great road trip or touring car. ❤

  32.  @Mike-rk8px  I agree with what you wrote. I would never get a Bentley Convertible. We have a number of vehicles, mostly antiques. I have a 52 Jaguar Mark 7 that is slowly getting restored and that has Bentley styling: that will have to do. That will be my retirement pimp car.😂😂😂

  35. That was a nice peaceful drive Ted and my cat Brutus enjoyed watching as well. Upstate NY is really pretty. Years ago I was at Cornell in Ithaca and the surrounding areas were so pretty. I hope to go back one of these days and just drive around. Best of luck with your back injury. 👍

  38. Ted your M5 looks so nice amd comfortable, which is amazing when you consider its abilities. In BMWs, I have an E30 325ic, and a Z3 2.8. I’d love to get an E39 for traveling, but my husband/mechanic hates working on BMWs newer than the E30. So…. My office mate has two e39s, one immaculate white car that I just drool over.

  40. In grad school, the Z3 was current, so after getting a job, I bought a 1.9 and later a 2.8. (Still have the 2.8). Later thought of getting a Z4, but like Ted preferred the Z3 looks. When I drove the Z4 it was a better, more refined car, but some of the rawness of the Z3 which made it so fun was gone.

  46. When I was a kid I remember how a Porsche from this era with a Whale tale used to park near my house. All of the kids thought it was really ugly.😂😂😂. Now I look at this one and it’s so dainty and pretty.❤
