  8. 24 h seems like an absurdly short time for anyone to respond to a government notice. Something must be done at the central level to disallow such demolition notices unless the government can prove to a court of unusual public harm if not urgently demolished.

  11. Don't get into the 'western' habit of hyphenating Bharat's relations. We need good relations with both China and USA and that can even help tamp down the mutual distrust between those two. Let Bharat's relation with each country stand on its own without, without "With an eye on China.." or "With an eye on America.." kind of tricky headlines that the 'west' practices. Makes for a safer world.
