Starting with actually starting the engine on the fire truck. 2) DEI statements concerning the make-up of the fire department crews. Along with their participation in all training and seminars. 3) Organizing protests at the manufacturers of the fire fighting equipment to make sure it was not built by racist white men. 4) And finally negotiating with the Pro Fire Allies to ensure that in putting out the fire its feelings will not be hurt At the end of it all the matter of the fire is declared resolved and site of the fire is turned over to the Department of Vacant Lots.

  7. California, especially Southern California is heavily dependent on water being piped in from long distances. Plus storing water from the winter rains in reservoirs. They should have been building more. At the same time their are environmental activists that seek to have reservoirs and their dams removed.

  8.  @kyoai  It is easier to do nothing and blame somebody else. The heavy flooding in southern Pakistan is taking place on a flood plain. Let that sink in. It's a flood plain. This is what happens when you build a society with a large population on a flood plain. Floods will happen. If there is any spot on that flood plain that has built up glood deposits and is not underwater from this flood you know there have been worse floods in the past.

  14. What about the Basque? Granted there j.g as probably been a lot of admixture from other groups. Anatolian farmers, Germanic tribes etc. Personally I don't buy the ancient total population replacement idea. The Old European Hunter Gatherers probably were never really that numerous. Instead of being wiped out by the incoming Anatolian farmers or pastoral steppe Indo Europeans they were likely just absorbed. Just as in Britian the various migrations were more absorbed into the genetic population group even if those Celts, Angles, Saxons or Jutes did impose their language and culture on the natives thru intermarriage etc.

  37.  @scottcantdance804  Generally the people immigrating to the US (legal or not) are doing so not for freebies but to better their lives. In their place I probably would too. And way is it that unemployment amongst illegals is so low compared to other groups. But what are the reasons they do so. Often it is because of the failure of their own governments to work for a prosperous and fair society that benefits their country as a whole rather than the clique that happens to be in power at the time. I'll blame the US for some of Latin Americas problem. But blaming the US for all of them is an excuse. The biggest single problem in Latin America I would blame the US for is drugs and the cartels they spawn. It's not the US governments policy but the American publics demand for the drugs that fuel the violence in these countries. Every single time someone is killed in the US or other countries in the Americas over the drug trade. Those people in the US (and to some extent Europe) that are purchasing and using these drugs are complicit in that murder.
