  10. There is one aspect of nuclear that does raise concern. The weapons side. But as North Korea, Pakiland and soon Iran prove. If you want them nobody is going to stop you. With the possible exception of Israel. The list of nations that have started and stopped developing nuclear weapons is a long one. It is suspected that if push came to shove the country that could have nukes the fastest is ironically Japan.

  20. I've been to a number of Brazilian style steak houses. Generally they aren't cheap. Drinks are pricey. But if you go away hungry it's your own damn fault. Last one I was at was in downtown Charleston SC. Can't remember the name but it was glorious. Excellent salad bar for some starters. Various cuts of beef, pork, chicken and sausages. Along with seafood. The baked pineapple is great.

  23. To be honest it sometimes felt as though she was determined to outlive her son. As I am as American it is not my place to comment one way or the other on the institution. But I do think that one thing the United States screwed up on is the concept of honors for service to the nation. As long as the honors were not hereditary.

  27. To be honest no elected representative can do what they "promise". Not all by themselves. Far too many people simply get their ballot and either check for a full slate or just check off for the party they favor. I swear in some solid districts or states Hitler could be on the ballot and win as long as he was running in the solid parties slate. I refuse to vote the way I did when I was younger. I much prefer to vote for the better candidate no matter what party they belong to. I also prefer to have decided government. If one party holds say the White House and the House I really want the Senate held by the other party. This helps keep the extreme fringe under control. Also I think in the US we need a new major political party. One that can draw from the moderate portions of both parties. Let the nutjobs in both the Democrat and the Republican parties stew in their own juices.
