  2. I'm surprised they weren't complaining about the Menorah in the classroom. Oh, nevermind it's just a coat or hat stand. Organic Chemistry is a required course for both BioChem and PreMed. Both majors are the course for getting into Med school programs. Do we really want dumb doctors. Off course not. What these whiners are really complaining about is it might drag down their GPA as Nd hurt their getting into any med school.

  3. In the cases of medical professionals. The vast majority IMO truely mean to do no harm. But as in any other profession there are some truely bad apples. The pediatrician puts me mind of another one. Josef Mengele. The only difference being one of scale and opportunity.

  11. As to mass deportations. First you have the problem of finding them. One place you won't find them is in the homes of people supporting mass illegal immigration. Lord knows they aren't sleeping on their sofas. A second thing is seperating the wheat from the chaff. The biggest scam over the last four years was the claim "that you're seeking asylum". There are genuine asylum seekers out there. Those wre the ones fleeing repressive governments. But if we're going to want to stop illegal immigration one way to do it is to help improve the economic situations in some of the countries these people are fleeing. The President of El asalvador in an interview when questioned about illegal immigration said that nations in Central and South America that see large numbers of immigrants trying to enter the US bear part of the blame. They bear part of the blame because they by and large have not put their own houses in order. Granted in the past the US did not help with interventionist policies designed to help certain companies. United Fruit being one of them. The point is if people have a chance of improving their lives. They are more likely to stay at home. I do not expect that the US can fix all of the problems these nations face. I'm not sure we can fix some of our problems. The war on drugs proves that. The US appetite for narcotics has caused a great deal of the issues nations in Central and South America face. One thing l point out to people is a Cartel in say Mexico or a criminal gang in the US murders a rival or opponen. The drug users in the US that are customers of that gang or Cartel are accessories to the crime in my opinion. People don't like hearing that.

  12. When "rights" advocates are willing to trample on the rights of the many fir the "rights" of one individual. That tells you it is not about their actual rights. It is about power and ego. Their actual rights they share with everybody else. I will agree that trans individuals have the right to live free of abuse and fear. They have the right to exercise the same rights as anyone else. Well, the rest of us gave to rights too. We have the right to Express our opinion. We have the right not to associate with people if we choose not to. We have to right not to be subjected to their opinions if we choose not to.The Alphabet activists* do not have the right to force us to listen to them. They do not have the right to try and muzzle the free speech of others. And they certainly do not have the right to enlist the government/s to enforce their opinions. *And just who elected them to be advocates or the spokesmen/women for their community's in the first place.

  24. For years in SE Wisconsin we've seen an influx of people from Illinios fleeing high taxes. That's right they are moving to Wisconsin because their tax burden will be lower. Mainly property taxes. Plus a lot of them shop in Wisconsin because of sales taxes. The only thing is when they move here they start pushing for things they left behind. Sidewalks in areas that have never had them to start with

  29. I admit that I initially found algebra to make absolutely no sense. This was because it was being taught as theory using only symbols*. The instructor did not understand why I could not get it. Once I explained that I saw no relation to reality and all I saw was a, b, c, x, y etc. She took a problem and punched numbers into it. Immediately the light went one. From then on math was never an issue until I got to calculus. If you have an instructor that cant teach you have a real problem *yes I understand that numbers themselves are merely symbols

  49. The Second Amendment says not one word about firearms. It speaks to 'arms' in a general sense which includes, firearms, edged weapons etc. Firearms were fairly common in 18th Century America. But not as common as some believe. Guns along with powder and shot were not cheap. And amongst those that had and used them they were viewed as a tool. A tool that could help put food on the table as well as a tool that could be used for defense. Some say an armed society is a polite society. Others will say a civil society has no need for arms. Unfortunately we have neither a polite or civil society today. The founders (1) knew that any weapon could be used for ill. But they also realized that the weapon does not commit the crime. The perpetrator does. And if anyone thinks only weapons can be deadly instruments let them sit on a jury considering assault with a deadly weapon one time. I have. The weapon in this case was a cell phone. Being used to beat the victim in the head. To clarify just what a deadly weapon can be the assistant DA explained if you attempt to smother someone with a pillow that pillow is a deadly weapon. 1) You know. Those bigoted, racist, despicable dead white guys.

The logical end to this is the state owns everything and you line up for your bowl of gruel before shuffling off to help build the glories of socialism. The reason it is logical Is because what is defined as wealth and being wealthy becomes a sliding scale. Give it time and it gets to the point that own your own home, or car, or have any savings and you are the wealthy.
