  42. Well said Damo! Someone as REAL Labour, and as humanitarian, as Ian Byrne MP, obviously needs to be kept, and reselected as the candidate for his seat. I'm sure his constituents think so too! Yes I'm very concerned that Starmer would: 1) Make a recent ex-Tory a party whip 2) Go against the current Mayor of Manchester, Andy Burnham, who is not on the left of the party and has far more experience of government than Keir Starmer (needless to say!), in his selection of who is to be candidate of a key Northern seat. This to me speaks of great hubris on Starmer's part. As the ancient saying goes: those who the gods wish to destroy, they first turn mad!
