Good luck Andrew! ππβ€οΈππ€

Yes. I'd definitely vote for Jeremy, if i lived in his constituency. But - has he announced his standing as an independent yet? I thought that today was the deadline ....

All the best tomorrow, Jeremy! ππππ€π€π€

Curses on Starmer, and all his crew: especially Reeves and Streeting!

Politicians are not SUPPOSED to be handsome! They are supposed to serve their constituents!
16
Sod that turncoat hypocrite Sir Keir! π
12
@saltydog584Β Most of the voters of Islington North are tor Jeremy, and have been for decades, if they are old enough to be. Or did you miss that? π
9
π―π I like that tern, "Soul-bearer"!
8
Indeed! π―π (Let's hope they all remember to vote, and place their cross in the right Independent box! π€)

He still won a large majority in his constituency!

@saltydog584Β Many of them are sadly misinformed. (Or intellectually lazy.)

Yes indeed...Wasn't today (the 20th) meant to be a deadline date?

No. And why don't you tell the same to Joe Biden?

The MP for Islington North; former leader of the Labour Party!

Bull. (Anyway, backstabbing Starmer hates him.)

@saltydog584Β Unfortunately, some of them are! (I've personally never believed in this insincere politicians' way, of flattering the general public, when you can SEE they don't mean it anyway! π That's why people don't trust them.) However (Apart from a few old Tories/fogeys) I personally don't believe that the VAST majority of voters in Islington North are like that! π (After all, they did vote Jeremy in with a good majority..)

β@Insanepie This is a stupid argument, in ALL respects: and if you had read the famous socialist novel The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists you would know exactly why! π
3
@petemarchetto4998Β Aha! Thank you for that explanation. ππ KernowDamo seems to have given me the former idea.. I agree,it is confusing! UK politics suffers from all kinds of arcane rules. I am glad that Corbyn HAS now divorced himself from the Labour Party by his deliberate actions (he is certainly no fool: and is far too experienced a politician to be caught in formal traps!) And that he will stand, either as an independent, or for another party. (I did think it was a bit early to make the declaration, before the election was even called! π) And I hope that he and George Galloway remain friends; and can work together, and with the Greens too! π

No. Third time's the charm!

@InsanepieΒ Why? Housing is a problem to be solved by government. What you are saying, is similar to saying that individuals and charities can solve everything!

Β @petemarchetto4998Β I see! I thought that Corbyn had to announce, or register or something, today, to stand as an independent.
