"This book presents a number of difficult features. It is privately printed. The author’s name is a pen name. The history is done like an archeological dig, going from the Nuremberg trials to the issuing of the Communist Manifesto. It also cannot be read from back to front because of its cross-references. The font for headings and subheadings is stylistically idiosyncratic making it distracting to read. The narrative is that of a PhD thesis, with massive amounts of quotes but no formal bibliography of the cited works. On the website, Samaan describes himself as an architect, designer, mechanic, artist, photographer, and student of pre-Columbian architecture in Latin America. He was born in El Salvador, but is now an American citizen with mixed Palestinian-Christian and Hispanic ancestry." ... might be worth knowing BEFORE leaping into this 'new' but old book - which hasn't made it to you list of references yet.

@TheImperatorKnight see comments 'above' but then there is that 'Big X connection'... And yes Eisenhower was right, as have 'Shchindler's List' and 'Band of Brothers' and the English and german dramatisations of the Wannesee Conference.

The "stuck to tanks" comment re the film industry, etc., has some echoes of life. But for much of the pre-Schindler's List era - the camps were known but little spoken of. I was in Germany in the early 70s and also in the early 90s made it to Dachau for a 'tourist' visit. It clearly wasn't a secret... But the connection to other elements of 'western' normal life were interesting, but I bulk at some of the RC was against Nazism... if true then why so much 'help' for the ratlines in getting 'those' criminals out into Catholic countries, etc., etc. Some real and many fictional accounts were common before the likes of the 'deniers' of David Irwin's ilki with films of a mixed nature such as The Scarlet and the Black from 1983... Excellent - make you think vid as normal. Thank you for digging around.
