  9. Come on, if Diana had been a plain woman of 30 or so, would you be as tolerant of her faults? if she had aged normally, and was now alive nad a woman of 60 who wasn't nearly as pretty as in her youth, would she still get the same favourable press?

  18. No he's not. Lots of people were indifferent to her. Oftten people who knew her didn't like her that much. he was in love with her for a short time but as he got to know her better he realised how imcompatble they were and she felt the same about him

OF course IF Diana did say to them just before the wedding that she wanted to get out of it, of course they would dissuade her. It would be the same in any family, if the bride or groom JUST BEFORE the wedding wanted to call it off. They would think "its just nerves" and persuade her to calm down and go on with it. And Di's grand mother didn't set anything up. She may ahve been pleased to think that her grand daughter was being taken out by the Prince but she did not arrange anything.

  32.  @abbatrouble  Wallis was not IMO particularly intelligent and her fascination factor for Edward was her personaltiy. She ewas domineering and he liked that up to a point. There were times he got hurt or fed up by it.

But she was more charming to people outside at times than to people in her private life. her own family WERE talking to her at the time of her death, except for her Mother.. but that was not unusual in the Spencer family. She wasn't a fair weather friend, in fact, she was often someone who turned up, even after a row, in a friends life to help them when they had problems

  43.  @lastjob2011  I'd expect him to have an argument with the person who allegedly made the racist remark, and to get his wife some mental health support, not just do nothing because he was embarrased.. And he did not want to leave the monarchy, he and Meg wanted to be half in and half out of the monarchy, ie doing some work as it pleased them and then making money in the USA the rest of the time (Plus taking money from his father or the tax payer)

  48.  @junewilson1629  it did not take that long to take her to hospital. She had to be cut out of the car and when htey got her out, she had a big heart attack.. and was all but dead. So they had to revivve her and transport her to hospital carefully so that they did not jar her heart any more. It took about 20 mins and they may have had to stop because she was crashing again.
