Only if you don’t know what directly means. If Russia wants them directly involved then pretending they are is a great way to make it true eventually.
1
lol ‘brand new jets’. Russia is the only country that can stop this, and they aren’t willing to negotiate anything other than a complete surrender. So it will continue until more is supplied and guaranteed to be supplied. Pretending it can be stopped tomorrow is what’s prolonging the war. The sooner Russia realizes this indefinite war weakens them it will end.

@erikt1713 the US has VAT it’s just called sales tax and varies depending on where you are instead of being one rate for the whole country.
1
@erikt1713 as I understand VAT, if it’s like our GST, while it is at every level a business claims it back on inputs, so effectively it’s only paid once at the point of sale anyway. It achieves the same as sales tax but is much easier to administer since you charge everyone and those exempt claim it back themselves. While in the US it’s a huge mess with you only charging some buyers if they are end users.

Given everyone expected Ukraine to fold in days they seem to be doing quite well with trinkets.
1
I suppose last time resulted in 27,000,000 Soviet deaths, and that was with the USA etc helping the Soviets with massive amounts of lend lease and a whole second front. Let’s be honest, a war would be the end of at least the northern hemisphere, no smart person thinks it’s a serious threat. Besides this is talking about Ukrainians attack a military target, a bridge, that is in Ukraine.
1
There’s a few countries that haven’t seemed to learn that lesson, including one that we all thought would win a war in a week because they were supposedly the 2nd strongest military power in the world. And now they’re dying by the hundreds of thousands taking villages of rubble for the glory of a mad king that believes a delusional history.
1
That’s what they said about Ukraine though… over in 3 days…. How did that work out?
1
@moiseshuerta3984 by not giving the missiles to Ukraine to stop the invading Putler they’re doing just that.
1
Amazing how they're being kept away from the crash site.... You'd expect them to all be welcomed in if it was as the Russians say.
1
Except the ‘shut down’ of ATACMS was withdraw supplies out of range. Basically halting advancement to a crawl and at a huge cost in blood. The lol is Kyiv in 3 days 😂
1
This is literally a self inflicted wound that helps no one at all. Maybe a little bit Musk because it will kill other brands US manufacturing….
1
@marie-joselinebagarirayose2817 Russia will lose 27,000,000 people despite western aid allowing them to fight the third reich? Have to get a move on, at this loss rate that will take another 50 years.

Whoever pays him personally the most money.
1
If the Soviet Union didn't fall Russia wouldn't be an independent country, it would be ruled by Soviet leadership.

One confuses 2 names and it's dementia the other does it and it's hand waved away. Because of course everyone confuses names now and then. But the absolute nonsense rants at rallies are just another level. Yeah, they're both too old. But they're within a presidential term of each other in age, so it's not going to get better. Willing to bet one of them will step down before the next term is over though. And the other, well, the presidency is the only hope he has of avoiding jail.
1
Don’t do that very well by electing the biggest free loader and abuser. The point isn’t to benefit the US, it’s to seek personal bribes.
1
The Gripen suits them, but lots of different airframes are a problem. Maintenance is as big of a problem to solve as getting the aircraft. Look at Russia, they can’t even maintain what they’ve got. Lots of training to happen so it takes time.

The only thing saving Trump from a heart attack is that would prove he had one.

Most exports will just go to third countries that will then export back to the US anyway. Just higher prices for US consumers and no change otherwise. There’s a few things that will be hard, like car parts, no other country needs car parts, they make the themselves or buy whole cars. But the US has no other sources and most Canadian and Mexican factories are owned by US companies who will have to just pay extra to get parts now, or reduce production and US jobs due to not enough parts. Building US factories is a 5-10 year minimum task. I wonder which Us carmaker will benefit from all other American cars being more expensive or hard to buy for Americans…,,

Or… it was leaked on purpose…
1
@PhuchaTannapai the US exports way more than it imports, by a huge margin, it’s why it’s so rich, it’s the second largest exporter in the world after China. Imagine what happens when the rest of the world looks for non US sources for that? A tanking US dollar and wages. And a heap of things the US cannot get at home like raw resources, rare earth metals etc that the high tech sector needs to exist.

The last government that led Argentina with his policies ended up conducting a campaign of torture, imprisonment and mass murder before they caused the entire country to collapse, and he's been quoting their talking points as if they're brand new great ideas. Members of his party are already saying they'll have to use the army against the citizens to enforce their rule. 'Shrinking Government' is abolishing any public health functions, stopping any enforcement of environmental violations. We've seen this playbook, his plan is to sell off the country cheap to his mates, while killing and poisoning the population.

@sirrathersplendid4825 has basically nothing to do with China, and even less to do with Canada which according to US statistics is less then a fraction of 1% of total supply into the US. That’s just the excuse to raise taxes on the US. The border into the US is the US’s problem, like any other countries border is for them. If Trump isn’t up to having a strong border and expects other countries to solve it for him, he will be disappointed.
1
@peterlaing6661 nuclear weapons are impossible to use for defense, only threats, attack and suicide. If they’re used no one will be alive who remembers what Russia was. They are useless, and no one believes anyone would use them to defend rubble you didn’t even have months ago.
1
@copperfieldtexas5791 US consumers pay US tariffs. China pays nothing.
1
The country providing US with the advanced chips it needs to counter China. Lol brilliant strategy sire. Really gut the US tech sector as well as the automotive sector.
1
Putin meanwhile hiding the terrorists that shot down MH17, torturing and killing civilians in Ukraine, bombing his rivals, throwing them out windows. But talk of supplying missiles to an independent country that is defending itself from a war of aggression that they maybe might use on a military target within their own country. That’s your benchmark of terrorism? You do not understand the word. Or you’re complicit in it.
