  20. Yeah, you find that in Japan and Korea aswell. You could have majored in English on Oxford or Cambridge, but if you aren't either white or mediterranean white you won't get the job, it's that simple. They'd rather hire sombody with a thick regional British, Australian, Canadian or American accent that fits the image they want, even with way less credentials than sombody ethnically Indian, Pakistani, Sri-Lankan, Black,....or Asian, etc with the right credentials (I'm European we don't consider Indians, Sri-Lankan and Pakistani "Asian", just an FYI) So, i'm not suprised this is the case in China. Ethnic based biases in Asian nation's are quite accepted socially. Miss Japan,...a "Hafu"⬅itself a derogatory term, but generally used and accepted in Japan, was criticised for not being "Pure" Japanese by all the Japanese News outlets. Her being half black was openly debated on Japanese talkshows in quite a disgustingly racist way, as if that was acceptable to do so,....and in Japan it apparently is. These articles are still up,...never been removed either.

In the 60s, 70s, and 80s the vast majority of Japanese cars were knockoffs from Western European car models, it was only since the 1990s that they started to produce their own style's and got to a better quality. China is going trough that now but with more tech and the Internet at their disposal,....the Japanese didn't have that luxury back then.

Austrian kids point to foreigners too,...and say "hey, a dirty foreigner" it's very common in Vienna, but you won't find a German kid doing the same in Germany, seen it (and heard it from friends) way too often all around Austria for it not to be an habitually occurring theme. Last year an Austrian young female kindergarten school teacher made her very young pupils stare and point at Asian tourist "pulling the Asian eye thing even" because she was annoyed at the amount of Chinese, Korean and Japanese tourist walking past her school in the centrum of Vienna. Lovely people,....really ;). (It's not only China and Chinese that can be very direct or super xenophobic bordering on racism) Anyway, great vid Winston thumb's up 👍.

  31. Well, unlike post war Germany and post Colonial European powers the Japanese Government itself has never apologised for the great many war crimes commited by them. No,...those were Japanese businesses or governmental departments that did, never it's official government itself or its leader. So China, Korea, etc stil have a legitimate bone to pick with them, i grant them that part, but you are right on the diversion aspect of it Winston. Japan apologised to England and the Netherlands or they wouldn't have had access to a great many things,...aka pressure. It's high time Japan has a peace and reconciliation conference with China and Korea, it would break the Ice and might be good for the rest of us.
