A woman being forced to bring to full term a baby resulting from incest. Yes, incest. Do you understand the life long trauma, the emotional harm that would result from nine months of that kind of pain, that pain resulting from the control of the state. And what if the delivery doesn't go well? Do you how miserable the USA maternal death rate is? So a woman might potentially die because the state colluded with pro lifers to force her to give birth after she was the victim of incest. Women are not victims, woman are responsible and intelligent enough to make a medical decision that enables them to move forward after trauma and begin to heal, rather than multiply the trauma for nine additional months with possibly disastrous outcomes. Do you understand why that is unacceptable to women who thought they were living in a free society?

@blizz2748 The right is the right to privacy. Therefore the woman has the right to make a medical decision in private in conjunction with her doctor, especially because medical records are private. Except not anymore. Try explaining this to that guy because I'm too angry to get into it with an obtuse fool. So every action that is related to privacy is now up for debate. So marriage is also a private decision, so is the decision of a married couple to use contraception. Those are the other target cases that old fool Thomas enumerated in his junk opinion that every other justice refused to sign. So you really think there is no danger here? So the state will tell you who you can't marry...again. Lovely. So medical decisions are everybody's business but yours. Delightful. Please tell them so that they understand.

COVID certainly proved that human teachers in the classroom are absolutely essential. Have we increased the pay yet to show our appreciation? Stopped the book bans? No? Huge gaps in our nation's ability to learn.

I think he asked that because the extreme right wing these days raises that issue constantly. They try to raise "reverse discrimination" court cases off that stuff. Because LBJ stepped down and handed off to VP Humphrey, the 1968 Democratic Convention was a chaotic floor fight, the party split, George Wallace developed a third party "American Independent Party" and took Southern Democrats with him. Given the chaos of multiple assassinations and Vietnam protests, maybe 1968 would have been chaotic no matter what, but splitting the Democratic vote resulted in Nixon, in Laos and Cambodia, in Watergate. Not our proudest moments. We don't have to repeat 1968. And doing all of that because of polls? Really? Stay calm, stay strategic, stay unified. VP Harris is awesome in my opinion, but handing off to a VP at this late date is not as easy as it looks. President Biden has a documented impressive legislative record comparable to FDR and LBJ. Perhaps read a book on the 1930s and how a fascist army based on racism failed. Perhaps a book on Truman's decision to integrate the military in the late 1940s, in advance of the larger USA society. I think they connected one side, then used a bow and arrow to send the other end across, so that it could be attached as well. This reporter has a very long history with this channel. His track record should be easy to find. Given that Walter Cronkite was the CBS anchor for years, and he had an intense anti Vietnam stance, I find it easy to believe that the old guard at CBS is unlikely to be right wing.
