  2. The Kursk project removed the best trained/most highly trained units from other front lines. It concentrated them in one area, far distant from the long list of emergency areas since it started. In strategic terms it was at the level of the Brusilov offensive, r the Sixth Army moving into Stalingrad. A massive assault on the wrong area, chasing a short term gain, at cathastrophic medium term cost.

Thinking they found a weakness, the AFU sent in more elite trained units and sent them further. Now the AFU can not get further without sending in much more, across a vulnerable logistics supply chain. And if the AFU withdraw they will be humiliated. More "demilitarization" of the Kyiv regime, is a certainty from this debacle.

  45. Agreed. Zelensky is unable to take out Zalushny. The two might disagree but they are not fighting for power or status. The SBU are in a continual project of internal repression. Zalushny is monitored by the SBU, and appears to have unsatisfactory opinions. Earlier, somebody gave the location of Zalushny to the Russians, there as a missile attack, and Zalushny was very badly injured. If the SBU did kill Zalushny, this would benefit the Kremlin. It would also benefit the SBU. It would not benefit Zelensky.
