@darrell3O87OO Well I've gone on the Washington Post Website, article that day was written Max Fisher. No mention of NATO, no mention of being forced to land. It simply says that they stopped for fuel because the pilot believed that they may not have sufficient

@darrell3O87OO I don't think you actually read the entire article 😄 it actually confirms that Morales stopped in Vienna for fuel

@darrell3O87OO why would Snowden have been on the flight? The point is no one forced Morales to land in Vienna and it certainly wasn't NATO

@darrell3O87OO there's a huge difference between forcing an aircraft land and denying it permission to use your airspace. The point is Morales requested to land in Vienna because there was a problem with the fuel indicators that obviously took time to repair. Now whilst waiting for the repair the Austrian Deputy Chancellor Michael Spindelegger visited Morales in his jet obviously it would be unlikely he would be alone. This seems to be where allegations and confusion that the aircraft was searched have came from. A Dassault Falcon is not a large aircraft. But in a Reuters article the Defence Minister Ruben Saavedra said Morales' plane was not searched because Morales had refused Austrian authorities entry to the aircraft. I suspect it was actually Russian FSB who started the rumor that Snowden may have been been on the flight. Did they tamper with Morales aircraft so it had to turn round and land at Vienna? It would not surprise me.
