@L L So let me get this straight, you actually want most of our languages to die, but you criticize us for the "erosion" of our languages to English? 🤣 I have no idea what country you are from, but you do realize that every single language represents a distinct ethnic identity, right?
EACH language represents a people. A people with a history and culture different from everyone else. Very deep divides that go back centuries if not millennia in some cases. A Tausug speaker isn't differentiated from a Tagalog speaker or a Waray speaker or an Ivatan speaker by language alone, but by their very ethnicity. They have different traditions, different histories, different art, different architecture, different songs, different dances, different ancestral technologies, different cuisines, even different religions. And you want to throw all that away just for the convenience of "cohesion".
Losing a language is losing a culture. You'd get pretty much the same results as if you'd just murdered everyone belonging to a particular tribe. Which is exactly how most monolingual countries came to be. Not through assimilation, but by genocide.
And that is not something to be proud of. No thanks.

So you think that because you have nice streets and big buildings, we wouldn't hate you anymore? LOL. Typical Chinese arrogance. Thinking that being rich and powerful excuses all the things you do. How nice China is to live in is completely irrelevant.
We hate you for your greed, for your rudeness, for your casual cruelty, for how you lie and cheat, for all the fake and dangerous products you sell us, for the lands you have invaded long after the colonial period, for the constant threats of war, for the constant brainwashing you do to your citizens, for your support of North Korea, for your occupation of Tibet and Xinjiang, for your illegal fishermen and all the illegal trade in endangered animals and plants for your traditional medicine, for your racism against all other Asian races, and most importantly, for the fact that you are now claiming the entire South China Sea and pushing the world one step closer to World War 3.
And all of that is because you have this completely insane obsession with trying to one-up the US at everything. Even though the Cold War has been over for almost 30 years, and the US doesn't really even care.
Everyone else in Asia gets along fine. Rich and poor countries alike. Even Japan and South Korea, which have historical bad blood don't threaten each other with missiles or warships. You are the exception. No one likes China. No one trusts China. We don't care how many shiny buildings you have. Stop acting like the fat bully in school who thinks bragging about all his toys will make everyone love you, even when you constantly steal everyone else's lunch.
P.S. To preempt your usual answer of "no u, american dog! imperialist aggressor11!!1!", no. I am NOT white.

Indonesia, despite claiming to be secular, keeps trying to enforce Muslim laws on everyone, as well as sending thousands of Muslim settlers in eastern Indonesia, majority of which are not historically Muslim areas. Then when riots and killings start happening, the police (most of which are also Muslim settlers) side with the Muslim migrants, not the natives.
Remember it was only a decade or so ago when settlers burned churches and Christian villages, and beheaded schoolchildren in central Sulawesi. Same with similar situations in Bali, Maluku, and of course, East Timor.
Papua, which is even less culturally similar to western Indonesians have it the worst. Aside from the racism, there's also the fact that the government ignores them, only noticing them when they're harvesting their rich natural resources. Indonesia treats Papua almost like its uninhabited. As if Papuans are not people. You don't even see or hear anything about Papuans in mainstream Indonesian media.
Papua should be independent. Period.
P.S. Yep. Everyone basically just says they don't want to lose Papua because they don't want to lose natural resources. Nothing about the people. All they care about are the riches of Papua.

@JoeMcDonald2349 Honor killing exists here too, and no, it's an entirely different phenomenon. Rido has pre-Islamic origins. Neighboring non-Muslim ethnic groups use similar terms (ridu, lido, rido) to describe revenge killings by kinship groups (which usually became full-on intervillage wars). It has virtually disappeared among other groups, but persists in Muslim regions because of weak law enforcement, since these regions are often too dangerous with armed separatist groups and terrorists for police to operate in.
Ridos are thus usually triggered when a perceived crime happens, and there is no legal punishment or the punishment is deemed not enough. The family of the victim take it into their hands to enact "justice". In doing so, they attack someone part of the other family but not directly involved in the original conflict. This starts off the chain, the family of the victim(s) of the revenge attack, conduct their own attack, and so on and so forth. It's particularly brutal because it does not spare women or children. And it deeply affects the lives of everyone involved and everyone around them. Rido has even triggered armed encounters between the military and separatist groups (even though currently, they are diplomatically at peace).

@51844mj Bullies aren't exactly the most rational people, they may be bullying you for something else other than your race. A more common phenomenon I've seen is when full-blood Filipinos dislike mixed-race or foreign-born Filipinos because they've forgotten the language or know nothing (and have no interest) about their own culture.
However, it's the direct opposite in the Philippines. Being mixed race is almost universally regarded as beautiful, regardless of what the mix is. They're the most likely people to become celebrities, hence the common criticism by other Asian countries and even some Filipinos that the Philippines has too much "colonial mentality".
I personally don't see it that way. Philippine culture is just weirdly xenophilic. While yes, there are traces of the old high regard for Spanish features in the Philippines (since it usually denoted that you were part of the aristocratic principalia class), there's also a strong interest in non-colonial cultures. Including South Korea, Japan, India, Thailand, etc. Even Chinese (specifically Hokkien) culture was popular for a while in the early 2000s, though that has been tempered with distrust because of the recent actions of the PRC.
