  4. It's interesting. Trump initially advocated for shutdowns and even a nationwide shutdown in the effort to stop the spread of COVID 19. Now he's saying the economy and getting people back to work is more important than saving American lives. In his own words"My travel ban saved countless lives" Now "We need to open the country and get back to work, if a people die, OH WELL". Trump is basically saying we must sacrifice American Lives for the sake of our economy. We aren't at war. The economy can be rebuilt, lives lost are gone forever.

There's no telling how many would have died if we had simply taken no action against it and simply dealt with it on on case by case basis. The consequences of not taking action against it could have been worse than a shut down. Many people vilified Obama for his "late" response to Swine Flu. Trump still blames him for many things. Imagine if Trump had taken no action against this virus. Where would we be?

  9. This virus has been around for over six months now and has infected millions of people and killed over 600,000. It's had time to adapt and mutate to it's surroundings. Thinking it cannot harm children or never will, is simply ignorance. Trump himself has stated "I'm not a doctor", yet continually makes statements as if he's an expert on this disease. Does he even listen to his advisors or the experts?

Why are they “unfair” now when Trump says they are, but weren’t then? Why is it different when Trump says it? Because he’s a businessman? Businessmen negotiated these deals in the past, advisors to the President, working in the countries best interests. But of course, now that Trump is in office, everything he says is “absolute truth” and past presidents where all lying.

No one asks for that support, we simply offer it. We help the world because we want to assert our authority. We have no money because we hand it our to everyone while ignoring our own people. Trump is no different, he’s making promises publicly but simply protecting his own foreign interests. A few years of “glad handing” isn’t going to fix 50 years worth of trade deals.
