  9. @dantefekete7617  I have to disagree with who owned the weapons. Ukraine was a part of the Soviet Union. So they owned their share of the weapons. Why would you claim that only Russia owned the weapons? Russia was just one country among many. I have to disagree that Ukraine "was intended to remain neutral." There was nothing about Ukraine "being nuetral." Ukraine is just a sovereign country running their own business. They can do whatever they want. The United States cannot tell Ukraine what to do. Russia cannot tell Ukraine what to do. This is not a soccer match and Ukraine is not a football. Ukraine is a country. I also have to disagree on NATO "encroaching" on Russia. No such thing has taken place. NATO has never entered Russian borders. Furthermore, your use of "nuetral" does not apply here. You can only have "nuetral" when there are two adversaries. When the Soviet Union and communism collapsed, there were no more adversaries. The United States and Russia became friends. When everyone is friends, one does not have a nuetral country . . .everyone is nuetral.

And no the weapons did not belong to Russia. They belonged to all members of the Soviet Union. Ukraine was a member of the Soviet Union and A PORTION of the weapons were UKRAINE PROPERTY. Why do you feel the need to say things that are very obviously not true? That is lying.

The United States has 12 iron mines. 2. The United States produces 48 million metric tons of iron annually. 3. The United States has 100 steel mills to refine raw iron into steel. 4. The United States produces 80 million metric tons of steel annually. 5. The United States imports 28 million metric tons of steel annually. 6. The United States exports 9 million metric tons of steel annually. 7. The United States is the fourth largest producer of steel. Knowing partial information does not make you smart. You are only smart when you know all of the information.

They mostly dig it out of mountains. We have lots of mountains. Good question.

  23.  @sus_españa  As I mentioned earlier . . . When it is cheaper to buy from China than produce something domestically, we just buy it from China. That helps the Chinese economy. And it makes American consumer goods cheaper too. Many of our mines went on idle when we started buying stuff cheaper from China. But all of the mining equipment is still sitting there and can be started up anytime . . . as needed.

And ancient Rome used coins, and they had inflation. As far as your comment about the wealth gap . . . You are just saying things without any hard data to back it up. Point 1: In 1960, 65% of American households owned their home. In 2024, 65% of American households own their home. Point 2: In 1960, the average house size was 1200 square feet. In 2024, the average house size is 2300 square feet. Point 3: Every American household has more air-conditioners, dishwashers, garbage disposals, and microwave ovens that we did not have before. And most modern houses have a central heating and air-conditioning system. Larger refrigerators. More cars in the driveway. The material facts and data suggests that lower class Americans just keep getting wealthier. If you have some PROOF otherwise, I will be happy to look at it. But I do not accept random opinions and vague statements with no hard data. Credit has nothing to do with the mines. That is just another vague opinion with no data to back it up.
