All countries have inflation also.
And ancient Rome used coins, and they had inflation.
As far as your comment about the wealth gap . . .
You are just saying things without any hard data to back it up.
Point 1:
In 1960, 65% of American households owned their home.
In 2024, 65% of American households own their home.
Point 2:
In 1960, the average house size was 1200 square feet.
In 2024, the average house size is 2300 square feet.
Point 3:
Every American household has more air-conditioners, dishwashers, garbage disposals, and microwave ovens that we did not have before. And most modern houses have a central heating and air-conditioning system. Larger refrigerators. More cars in the driveway.
The material facts and data suggests that lower class Americans just keep getting wealthier.
If you have some PROOF otherwise, I will be happy to look at it. But I do not accept random opinions and vague statements with no hard data.
Credit has nothing to do with the mines. That is just another vague opinion with no data to back it up.
