Tony, this is pure propaganda! Every number that you report in this video is one that can be massaged directly by the CCP or heavily influenced by the CCP. Even with regards to travel volumes, you admit that you did not observe them directly, that you stayed away from heavily traveled areas. Shame on you!

The CCP is on the verge of a huge propaganda win with respect to their covid zero policy! No matter what they do, no matter how much of a lockdown they impose, The omicron variant of Covid will sweep through the Chinese population and provide natural immunity to them before dying out. If the CCP maintains their lockdowns strategy (however ineffective and damaging it really is) once the Omicron variant of Covid has died out they will be able to claim to the world that it was their lockdown policies that prevented disaster. All hail the leader ship of cheating ping (xi Jinping) and the CCP!

@mombaassa You are right. But reality and propaganda are two different things. The CCP (which controls all of the capture and reporting of COVID numbers) will be able to manipulate (create and selectively report) the numbers in order to convince people that the lockdowns were the only thing that "saved" China and will point to the very low COVID rates in the future (a result of the massive Omicron wave that is now sweeping China dying out as it has in many other countries) as "proof" that their lockdowns were successful. Anyone who hopes that the Omicron variant sweeping through China will convince the Chinese people that the CCP lockdowns were bad policy and that the CCP really screwed up can stop waiting. The CCP's propaganda will "immunize" the Chinese people from ever reaching those conclusions.

@TomTomicMic Good points. I agree that it is very hard to imagine how Xi could be replaced in an orderly fashion. Thinking that Xi has already been replaced in all but name is wishful thinking on my part.

@blafonovision4342 In a communist country, like China, run by the CCP, economics is politics . Embracing a “structural explanation“ for the downward trend in the Chinese economy is very much a political act. Reporting numbers that obviously have been massaged and misstated and intentionally lied about in a country that has absolute censorship is a political act.

Question: How many Chinese will the CCP let die needlessly with this new virus??? Will they exceed their GREAT achievements concerning COVID? Are they going to lock down China again and put millions of dollars in CCP pockets with mandatory USELESS testing?
