@donovanmic interesting... so it's like the UK non-dom concept? Do you know for how long is it valid?
1
@KeepingItRealBro I don't think he will because: 1) it's not an issue for 7-8 figure entrepreneurs and 2) he is not fond of English-speaking countries anyway.
1
Agreed. Maybe due to that neutrality issue, they seem to be in a constant state of vigilance - it's not harsh, but not relaxing either.
1
It's a good passport but not the best choice for residence, unless you really love the country. Not tax or business friendly. If you stay in Brazil without being tax resident, you can have plenty of nice experiences on a huge country.
1
Jenny Lake you can, but there are two set of rules: when you become German, there is a list of countries whose citizenship you can keep; and, as a German, you can only get citizenship from other EU countries or from Switzerland, unless you can convince them properly and get an official authorization for citizenship retention (Brexit brought issues because of that).
1
@wolfgangwust5883 he did it some months ago, do a search
1
@BlackMuslimConservative yes, Andrew's own example: tax resident in Malaysia (territorial tax system) plus properties in Colombia and Serbia, among others.
1
Tenero Pompino Nice. Is it valid for stocks and REITs too?
1
@brambakker1939 Permanent Residence visa
1
You can buy Argentina with that money. Jokes aside, I do think you can live quite easily there with that income. I can support my family anywhere in Brazil with that amount, including rent and a basic private health insurance.
1
Funny enough, I'm just waiting for my pre-settled status in order to go back to your country 😁
1
@abeonthehill166 I haven't been in Argentina but probably you will be much safer than in Brazil. Talking about safety and crime, is there any place you would (not) recommend in the UK? The North seems to have cheaper rent, but I hear about a higher violence rate there... Edinburgh would be an option but it's becoming expensive. Any thoughts?
1
@giovanni0908 it's always issued on the next day, the latest, including the tax number. But let's hear from him.
1
You mean the Austrian architect? LOL
1
5:30 are you serious, Andrew? What are the expectations for such "nice" website?
1
I wonder how someone can be so smart to earn millions and be so stupid to believe in such fairy tales about paying no tax, just by getting a second citizenship...
1
@libertos9960 Not so easy. Check out another comment on this video regarding management of foreign companies. I still didn't find a source telling exactly what rules Portugal use to determine how a company could become tax resident if (part of) the board is tax resident.
1
@stuarth1996 Brexit brought that bad atmosphere for EU citizens in the UK, but since the official position is "we want you to stay", legislation is supposed to protect them (us) and allow residence for the next 5 years via pre-settled status. They cannot risk harming the Brits abroad by throwing out EU citizens all of a sudden.
1
@hotepkennels conscription may be one reason?
1
Ilhabela, Brazil - too many mosquitos, tough. Now seriously, with all the problems, I still stick with the UK.
1
@algae_rhythms maybe I'm still addicted to legacy brands
1
...and you are unable to pursue further citizenships...
1
@JP-qn4uo Act 1956 says that. Unless you can tell us that the Irish government understand and/or executes it in a different way
1
@JP-qn4uo section 19 (e)
1
So we are back to last week's question: Latin America or Asia? 🤔
1
Absolutely!
1
@christianorsa LOL
1
@priestesslucy yes. Controlled Foreign Company. Depending on the country you reside as an entrepreneur, your company also becomes resident 😵 a problem that a retiree or a crypto investor doesn't have
1
Don't worry. Immigration fixes everything.
1
Wow, YT asked me to think again before posting that
1
@ivanduvalierveryevildictat8940 I don't believe in wars. If you prefer to insult me for this reason, fine...
1
Edinburgh is considered a top place for expats in the UK. Would you advice someone to buy real estate there? If not, what would be the main reason?
1
Mainstream media has an agenda. It's not even worth responding, except for those who may listen to you and become aware.
1
Haha I did it too but it was a coincidence, my original target was Scotland
1
Are you an IRS employee? LOL
1
I think the opposite: it's hard to convince people to sacrifice themselves for a global agenda. Try mentioning their home/nation/family. I do think we will have a new wave of nationalism and it can get really really bloody. Just my take, hopefully it will never happen.
1
@ahcmit some 50km southeast from Cairo. Huge project, a new entire city for 6 million people + government. That's why I would like to hear from Andrew about it, he is still talking about Cairo and its "cheap" real estate.
1
Tell us, what will happen to Cairo real estate market after the New Capital is up and running? Prices will plummet?
1
Not bad... good call.
1
Nice, very well explained.
1
@nenad6278 who knows? LOL
1
@adamnixon5503 add Italy and France to that list, depending on the bank
1
@Old_Salt may I ask you why? Seriously. There must be some misconceptions/prejudice regarding Lebanon, so I would like to know some concrete reasons not to try it.
1
@Old_Salt Thanks. No wonder Andrew selects a few countries: theoretically there are some other options for territorial taxation but, like Lebanon, there are practical reasons to stay away. Pity though.
1
Most probably "Team Jorge" might help you with that
1
@jorgemiguel2641 question: what about foreign company owners, how are they taxed under NHR? Dividends are tax free and salary goes under the income tax?
1
If it's a territorial taxation country, foreign income should not be taxed... right?
1
@GamerX-ql8dg yeah, it looks like indeed. The PWC page on Bolivia is not opening and even in Spanish it's taking long to find any official info. If Bolívia has a territorial tax system and is part of Mercosul, it could be a hidden gem. Caveat: a wealth tax law was about to be voted last month...no time to check the result.
1
Is it part of the Crypto Valley?
1
Excelent choice. I would eventually exchange Russia for Brazil (not so sure). A third country would be in Asia or the Middle East.
