@derikroy5 I actually thought about putting quotation marks around both terms but decided against it figuring most people would understand what I was trying to say without them. And I'd probably have someone telling me I was using quotation marks incorrectly if I did use them, so I was going to run into problems either way using figurative language like that. To quote the first U.S. president to ever face criminal charges "It is what it is".✌🖖

That's so funny I forgot to laugh, Todd.

So if the police sell a vehicle that has drugs in it doesn't that make them the drug dealer?

It's just good to know the problems with LEO's are everywhere. It sucks, but at least we're not alone. Wonder how many of them are responsible for some number of the disappearing Native American and First Nations women. Violence against ALL women needs to end.

I'm still holding out hope for a solar EMP discharge powerful enough to shut off the world but not destroy the biosphere or the atmosphere because I don't think anything else is going to avert the Sixth Mass Extinction.

In my home I have a first aid kit in case I need to treat a minor injury, a fire extinguisher in case I need to put out a fire, and I have a firearm in case I need to defend myself. Shit happens - one should have the tools to deal with said shit.

Agreed. The empire is doing just fine. It's the illusion of the Republic and democracy, particularly at the national level, that is being dispelled.

My greatest concern about Bankrupt Donny has always been that he'd have the ability to launch a nuclear first strike. My only hope is that the people really running everything will shake some keys at him or squirt him with a spray bottle if he gets too carried away. Right now he's just disgracing the office and the country and we can recover from that.

Poor old Charley.

Every home, apartment, store, and other building should have it own combination of solar and small-scale wind generation and storage to take care of on-site necessities like refrigeration, heating and cooling, and provide for a few simple things like lights and charging devices. At the neighborhood level is a centralized generation that provides the additional power load to both the neighborhood for a nominal fee to run those less vital hardware like entertainment electronics and to hospitals and other vital powered infrastructure. It's not the whole answer but it could be part of the solution.
