  1. I test drove it. PRO: fun, huge discounts, zippy after 1st gear, fast zf transmission. Great handling. Comfortable ride. Nice interior. CON: turbo lag, paddles were too big and got in the way of using the turn signal stick, rear view mirror had a frame and looked old, the rear looks like a $25k Mazda CX-5, is Alfa Romeo going to be able to stay in business?

  7. My 2017 Stingray with a manual gets 17 city / 39 fwy. awesome for 460 hp and 465 lbs torque and 3.8 seconds 0-60mph. A freebie removable roof and the upgraded NPP exhaust to hear that V8 roar. I ride on lighter nonrunflat Michelin Pilot 4S for more responsiveness (accelerating, agility, braking, +10 wheel hp/torque) and wider rear 295 instead of stock 285.

Better to buy a 2014-2019 Corvette C7 which has more power (from 460-650 hp, 465-650 lbs torque) that results in a V8 sound, quick 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds, 1.03-1.13G lateral handling, 60-0 braking in 90 ft. Removable targa top fun. Stickshift fun. Even the new supra can't beat the 2014-2019 Corvette C7

  10. The Cadillac XT4 has no turbo lag that I can feel. Every other car that I test drove had turbo lag, whether short or long...Mercedes GLC300 (least turbo lag), BMW X3 (a little more turbo lag), Porsche Macan S (even more turbo lag), Honda (way too much turbo lag). The Cadillac has these features that Youtubers miss: - lighted logo behind the dashboard - pulsating safety seat (most cars only beep) - left behind child in the rear seat alert - capless fuel tank (like my 2017 Corvette C7 ) - umbrella storage in the doors (like Rolls Royce) - active noise cancellation (like my 2017 Corvette C7 with Bose) - power passenger seat with lumbar - free 5G hotspot My other car is a 2017 Corvette Stingray in stickshift.

  12. Love it except the ugly front headlights (looks like the Corvette C6 or 2008 Mazda mx5 or Tesla roadster2) and ugly Volvo taillights. They should have made the Vantage look exactly like the DB10... why fuck up perfection?? Front grille is too big, looks like Lexus is competing with Aston Martin about who can make it the biggest and ugliest.

  15.  @RaitisRides  I doubt I could feel 10 more HP, but the NPP exhaust note is more glorious, plus I can shut it down early morning or late night to not bother my neighbors. Aftermarket Mild2Wild lets me control the NPP independent of driving modes.

My wife doesn't even want a 3 row SUV anymore. My 2 neighbors also got rid of their giant suv with 3 rows as soon as the kids could drive. We are all past this chapter of our lives: car -> sedan -> minivan -> suv . Now it's time to downsize to fun and stylish sports cars and stylish 2 row suvs.

  23. Yep, my 2024 Cadillac XT4 (0-60 in 7 sec) is quicker than my 2014 Toyota Highlander (0-60 in 7.6 sec) that I traded in. XT4 also handles better too. I upgraded from a 2014 Toyota Highlander to a 2024 Cadillac XT4 this past weekend (the 2024 highlander drove the same and is pretty much the same chasis and interior so it's boring). The Cadillac XT4 has no turbo lag that I can feel.   26. When it's time to replace tires on my C7 Stingray, I'm gonna get non runflat to lighten up 5lbs of unsprung weight at each wheel, which is 3-4 times the equivalent of sprung weight. Also, I'll be widening the rear tires from 285 to 295 (.5 inch wider) for more grip because this engine is so powerful with 300lbs torque right off at 1000rpm that it breaks traction easily when you step on it.

  28. lol, a boring electric Tesla 3 does the same 0-60mph time. But of course, the 370z would win at the track. Styling is too kiddish. Worst clutch I have ever driven (besides a 1980s VW vanagon) in that it's difficult to shift smoothly from 1 to 2 (tons of Youtube videos on this).

  41.  Jessie H.  I recently test drove the BMW x5 and it has the least turbo lag among Porsche Macan S and the Mercedes 6 cylinder. But of course the BMW is $65k whereas a Stelvia is $40k+. BMW also has the highest maintenance cost.

  44.  @RaitisRides  Runflats will bring my car's weight (Stingray not z51 with M7) down from 3300lbs to 3280lbs (unsprung weight has 3x factor compared to sprung weight so it'll be like removing 60lbs. Then when I need a new battery in 6 months, I'll get the 18lbs lighter Braille Lightweight battery...does anyone have experience with these https://www.braillebattery.com/index...s/lithium_ion? In total, it'll feel like 78lbs lighter so the vette will feel like 3222lbs. If I could afford $12k for a set of carbon fiber wheel barrels or 1 piece from CarbonRevolution, that would save 15lbs per wheel x 4 wheels = 60lbs unsprung weight equates to 180lbs sprung weight. Imagine removing 78lbs earlier from non runflats and Braille lightweight battery + 180lbs carbon fiber wheels = 258lbs removed. Removing 258lbs would be like increasing 39hp so the vette would feel like it has 504hp!

So either I get my senior high school son a newer car or a luxury for my wife and give her 2014 Toyota Highlander to my son. We test drove the Alfa Romeo Stelvio suv and loved it (acceleration, handling, looks, blue color, price) but I got a little car sick as a passenger due to the stiff suspension (my head bobbled around like a bobble head doll). So we ended up buying a new blue 2019 Toyota Camry SE (awesome .88g handling) for half the price of the Alfa Romeo for my son. This weekend, I will test drive a 2017 Porsche Macan (I'm interested in a v6 turbo, not 4 turbo) for my wife or we'll end up with a new coming soon in Q3 2019: 2020 Toyota Highlander (don't really want 3 rows, adequate handling, more fwy power for passing than VW Atlas) or 2020 VW Atlas Sport cross (2 rows, better handling, more upscale interior/exterior than Toyota, better ride than Toyota). I test drove a new 2019 Audi Q7 with 3.0 supercharger but it had the worst lag (felt like 3 seconds) of any car I've driven with turbo. I test drove a new 2019 Cadillac xt4 with 2.0 turbo but there was turbo lag. I test drove a new 2019 Cadillac CT6 with 3.6L and I loved the performance but my wife (49) does not like the Cadillac stigma of an old person. Sorry but no korean cars for us: kia, hyundai, genesis. Never again an unreliable Nissan for us.   49. I've just test driven the 2021 gas version and it stll accelerates well (I have a 2014 Toyota Highlander V6) but it also still has a lot of torque steer. Tires have become narrower (235mm wide) compared to my 2014 Toyota Highlander (245mm wide)
