I usually shop Winco which is often cheaper than Walmart especially on groceries.

@StaticCamperVan lol they must be city folks. Growing up in the country on a farm with a big family the outhouse is where we often went to since the house only had one bathroom. Plus, years in Girl Scouts and camping as an adult. Many think having to empty my black tank in the motorhome is gross but I have been doing it for so long never think about that.

May 2025 see you with a new van that meets your needs. Also, better health in 2025. I don't drink coffee but love your expertise on the subject. You do fine - I enjoy your style and personality you show.

I am in Quartzsite. I went to the "market" where they sell dented cans and array of other stuff. They had yellow bird blue agave sriracha and the habanero 9.8 oz for $2.00. I bought the blue agave - knew habanero would be too hot. Came home and used on my burritos. Different but not bad. But will continue using it. Will have to check back later to see if they get different flavors in.

One has to be happy and at peace with their choice and you are. Thanks for the video.

back in the 70s there use to be a lot of Weyerhaeuser land that you could camp on for free we would go to. Don't know if it is still available or not. I agree with Grocery Outlet - never know what odd thing you will find. White River maybe because it is white from all the pumice in it

I think you can get stuff to re-enforce the waterproofing. I have a down coat that has lost lots of feathers but still keeps me warm
2
Forgot to add - happy you found a couple good decaf coffees you like.

As a teenager friends put blue lights in their chicken coops because the chickens can't see in blue light. It made it easier to catch them when it was time for 'chicken picken' which was catching the chickens to head to the slaughter house.

As a native Oregonian, but haven't lived in the state since 2003, you are the first and only one I have heard N. CA referred to as part of the PNW. All my 71 year PNW is Oregon, Washington, Idaho and British Columbia. Thanks for your definition of the PNW.

@StaticCamperVan I was watching a show on TV. I guess the ghost of Pike Place Market she haunts the floor the tea shop is on.

When my son was about 4 I was cutting the dogs and he said he wanted one to. I asked him how short so showed him a picture of my brother with a butch. He said that short. So for all his growing up years he got in line with the dogs to get it cut. At 46 he still wears it short but he calls it his Marine corp cut. Keep in mind that birds and other animals collect fur and hair to build nest with. So if you are not around a populated area let your air blow with the wind to be recycled by nature.

Look like crab pots.

Brookings is considered the 'banana belt' of Oregon (just like Sequim is in WA). My late husband and I worked the winter at an RV park in Harbor back in 2005/6. Expensive place to live but loved it there. Harbor does not like to be called part of Brookings as you found out. A migraine is caused when the blood vessels in the brain contract which is why heat is best. I use to lay in a hot tub of water with my head under water just my nose sticking out to breath.

@StaticCamperVan lol

Really enjoyed this video.

Such a blessing that you found a doctor that was willing to dig to find what was causing your problems. Not eating out saves a lot of money. Also, so thankful coffee was not on the 'no no' menu!
1
I don't drink coffee so it is all 'greek' to me. I know you love your coffee so happy you found some good ones.
1
Maybe I missed it, but do you still have the old van and/or where are you storing the things that have not found a home in your new van yet?
1
Newport can be snooty. If you are not spending money they really seem to not want the tourist. Thors Well is cool. WA coast is OK but nothing beats the Oregon Coastline.
1
The company I worked for in the 70s moved from downtown Seattle to Bellevue. Bellevue had the reputation as the city for wealthy snobs! The office complex the company moved to included one of the first pickleball courts in the country

If you got a piece of window tint or buy a small piece, you could stick that over the screen but still see what it says. Sounds like that is a 'solar generator' without the battery. I think you need to head over to the Olympic Peninsula for cooler weather.
1
I have a 20# tank I use instead of my onboard tank. Problem is when it is cold it won't give gas. Once the sun warms the tank up it is fine. Maybe I need to try to empty it then purge it.
1
you are always talking of sour dough bread. Here in Quartzsite I have tried different brands, even the ones labeled authentic San Francisco' sour dough but they didn't taste like sour dough. Last week one of the little stores had a different brand marked down to $1.99. Tried it and it was so good. Didn't last long! Great news about your cooler. I love cold cheese sandwiches with mayo.
1
Thanks for the review. You are not the first review on the brand I have seen that have all been positive.
1
Pickleball is similar to tennis but use a smaller paddle.
1
looks good to me
1
Happy for you Scott. I run toyo on my motorhome. Are you going to be able to have that vent in the floor (I think I remember you having one that helped keep condensation down)
1
Seattle might as well be the capital of the state since they control what goes on in Olympia. You can always go back when you need a 'friend' fix. I don't mind that bridge in a car but hate it in a class A. I dislike the one you cross at Long View into Oregon. I heard a guy is going to buy the 'Goonies' house there in Astoria for $1.7 million (or something like that) and says he will make sure it will be there for fans to drive by to see.
1
Need to say Puyallup then people will want to know how to pronounce it!! Last time a few years ago we visited friends in Graham the traffic was horrible. Coming from a small town now it doesn't take much to be horrible. Drove up to our old house in Covington was horrified how they have built up and destroyed the area.
1
When I saw 'dead battery' I thought first the one you just replaced went dead on you.
1
I could never figure the words but you said it: it is my dirt so it doesn't bother me. Might add - my mess, too.
1
have you tried those emersion heating elements to heat the water vs using the burner?
1
In time it will be the way you want it.
1
How's your new lights working out?
1
I couldn't figure out the background noise then finally read the title: rainy day !!
1
You say you are not good at electrical but seem you like challenges. Did you send it back or make it work?
1
I think it means during the day you can only park max 4 hrs. After 6 ni limit is how i read it. Can always ask the city.
1
Not sure how long ago this was done but looked Poulsbo weather for the next week - nice 70s. Stay over there. Gas here in the Tri-Cities is still over $4.30 although I did see one today at $4.29 but most are still in the $4.50 range.
1
@StaticCamperVan If you ever decide a nice drive with lots of nice hiking would be to go over the North Cascade Highway down to Winthrop to Wenatchee area. If you want to avoid desert continue on highway 97 south where you could cross back over the Cascades on highway 12. Otherwise a nice drive is 97 north through Omak then take WA 20 across to Spokane. Or you could go from Omak to Grand Coulee Dam.

Things that should not be in dryers, I take out half way through when the clothes are still damp so the delicate things don't get so hot. People actually get upset if you talk toilet? Good grief. They are probably ones that would never use one in a van. Hats - I am like you, I hate wearing hats. Makes me feel pinned in!
1
I bet after they took the Elwha dam out it changed the look of the river. There are wildfires still burning in BC. A good year to do Washington since Jan 1 the gas tax is increasing 46 cents a gallon.
1
There is a company that make covers for each specific vehicle windows. Might be something to save up for.
1
@StaticCamperVan I know how you love your coffee. I am glad you found a decaf that you like almost as much.
1
so sorry. You are not the only ones out there that have to post after they leave an area. Your safety and peace of mind is much more important than knowing where you are at the moment.
1
for me corn tortilla are grainy and do not taste good. I have learned to cook pasta in the microwave starting with cold water - just enough to cook it.
1
@StaticCamperVan yes one of my interesting and physically challenging jobs as a teenager.! We had to carry 2 chickens in each hand at a time and started around 11pm after they were settled on for the night. Not a clean job, but we were kids who went to school together, so had a fun time.
1
That was my thought when I saw it, too. 😅
1
@StaticCamperVan great price
