  13. Eventually. 401Ks should never have been started to begin with. You're losing a cut of your retirement every year for some securities "management" team or financial planner to live a life of luxury. Plus it's difficult to use that money for whatever reason you feel. You have to file an application to take a loan out for your own money. If you purchased your own stock directly you could just sell off a portion to spend for whatever reason. Most people would have been better off investing/buying stocks on their own. Just think about what stocks you would have purchased the last 20+ years. Sure hindsight is 20/20, but it really wouldn't have been that hard to figure it out. Most people before 401ks would buy stocks in products they liked and purchased. Also fooling people into thinking "investment" is for "professionals" is not the most honest way of making a living and living off other peoples retirement savings.

  14.  @drewskij2175  . . .or you could just buy stocks yourself and sell them when you want. It's just government coercion and manipulation to do what they think you should do. It's based on good intentions, but it gives you less control over your own money. Also, another thing you are not factoring is that when you have large swings in the market and you want to move your funds around there is usually a waiting period. So by the time you thought you could take advantage of a situation you've already missed the boat. Which should make you wonder who's benefiting from buying and selling on the highs and lows before you have the time to move your funds? (That was a main part of my initial comment) I have a person I work with and he's very involved in moving the funds around in his 401k and he complains all the time on how his waiting period causes him to miss out on getting in and out on the lows and high. Now couple that with the ever more likelihood that the Feds are going to find some way to tap into your 401k for unrealized gains or whatever. Simple solution is to never give the Federal Government more control over your life than what is Constitutionally necessary.

I don't trust Stephen Hayes or Jonah Goldberg. Conservatives need to realize the United States is over as we know it. They need to embrace tribalism because if they don't they will get steamrolled by those groups that do embrace tribalism. The more Conservatives play defense always stating that they are not a racist or a white supremacist, those Leftist that have no problem identifying with an ethnic/racial group will gain ground and will change the entire country into a 3rd world sheet whole. They have no problem identifying with their ethnic/racial heritage. How many organizations are out there that promote their ethnic/racial interests? The United States will go one of two ways. It will either fall into some type of Communist dictatorship or it will balkanize and fracture into regions mostly inhabited by ethnic/racial majorities of that area. Conservatives should hope for the latter and even work for that solution. Most white Conservatives deep down know this country has changed for the worse and it's not going to get better anytime soon. Time to embrace your ancestral roots.
