  5. Look at some of the rural areas of the US, some will believe anything if it confirms their worst fears in their beliefs and they've stayed mostly isolated from reality beyond their local congregation, and hear what they do in AM radio and I'm not talking just regular broadcast.

Russia also was bankrupt with such an over bloated military they couldn't properly maintain their equipment. Looking at parts of Russia is like stepping back 50-100 years.

I remember when this first started out, I was concerned about the Dead Hand or it's newest variant for Russia but then I thought it probably doesn't work or never did, just some generals took the secret to their graves saying it was glorious and Putin assuming just like from what his special service was telling him that Russia would be greeted as liberators. So all is well... cringe

It's easy for us to critique and judge with our American lifestyle, I'm not saying they get a pass for crying out loud but I can on one level understand why they'd go for money when they're living practically in huts, no water, electric. Like I said Moscow residents know but these people thousands of miles away toward Siberia or China have almost nothing.

My only follow up with his comment on the foreign technicians would be what his thoughts looking back on that hands off approach we had in Vietnam with the Soviets instructing the NVA in Hanoi. No doubt the nuclear threat was a big factor and the realtime Intel we have today is light-years from what they had 50yrs ago.
