  1. in the UK there are 16 ppl in their ICU's and one death....70+ yr old with COPD. In S Africa, the ICU's are NOT filling, nor are many ppl dying....i think it's less than 100. We need Omicron to take over as quickly as possible.....it's milder than Delta.

  10. it's NEVER happened to me. I've gotten half way to the grocery store once, and had to go back home to get a mask...but i've never forgotten and hugged someone. Nor have MOST of the normal ppl i know....only politicians and health experts who don't bother following their own rules.

  12. politicians, rich ppl and "health experts" are ALWAYS breaking the covid rules....they ALWAYS get away with a nice apology. If it were a poor person who couldn't afford it, they would be getting a $3,000 ticket. The rich NEVER get a fine. One law for me, one for thee.

  14. we were shocked one year when there was an ice storm and places lost power in Ont. Poor ppl were upset that they lost their perishable food, and the govt gave them extra money. I just put the perishables into the trunk of the car...it was winter after all. I couldn't understand why they didn't just stick their food out their windows and save it.

  17. this happened in 1918 as well. In France, about 10 yrs ago, they had an enormous heat wave in Aug, vacation month ...about 15,000 ppl died, almost all of them elderly relatives left in cities while the rest of the family went to the seaside. Train rails usually buckle as well

  19. amazing! A couple of weeks BEFORE summer started, Weather Canada announced that this summer would be COLDER than normal.....72, 73 tops, due to La Nina. (then there was a long explanation to which i didn't listen) The next day, the temp went up to over 80F and has been there ever since....a few days later the fires started in N ONT and Quebec. In my next life i want to be a weather person behind the camera.....they never have to be correct and they're NEVER fired. Good govt pay, GREAT pension.....they must have NO job stress....just don't say there will be a blizzard in July or August.

  21. immunity from each Pfizer booster gets shorter and shorter. The 3rd shot lasted for 4-5 mos and then immunity dropped off.....the 4th shot lasted for 10 WEEKS and then dropped off (found by a study done in the UK that was NOT financed by Pfizer.)

  25. we've been locked down everywhere for more than 2 weeks now...the max incubation period. If the lockdown worked, the cases should be dropping like a stone. just saying....dude...you can't hire RETIRED nurses and Drs.....they're the ones most at risk of death!!

  27. umm...we DID do the USA's dirty work. For some strange reason, we have a treaty with the USA that says we MUST arrest anyone that the USA asks for...and should extradite them....no questions asked. Not sure why...

  29. a fair amount of North American corn goes to ethanol for gasoline, in spite of the fact that scientists have known for years that ethanol INCREASES emissions, by the time you grow the corn and make the stuff, and now KITTY LITTER (i freaked when i saw that one brand is made of corn kernals.)

  30. it was like the elders who were lost in a nursing home in Quebec. The firefighters wouldn't enter the building on fire....they "rescued" the elders from the surrounding buildings which were fine. It was the police who went into the burning building and got all but 24 ppl out.

  36. someone pointed out that a Native community cut the CN CP line years ago, that cost Canadian businesses billions. No Emergency Act there! The govt just yawned and let them get on with it. Emergency Acts are just for truckers, apparently.

  37. i remember some of those incidents.... a LOT of them were caused by ppl getting stroppy over masks. Either the passenger refused to wear them, or the flight attendants weren't allowing the passengers to eat or drink, though you're supposed to be allowed to remove your mask for a swallow. Surrounding passengers said the flight attendant who lost her teeth had been extremely rude to the passenger, and hit/shoved her first. Some of the fights weren't fights...they were families being dragged off the plane while tiny children, some with medical exemptions, weren't wearing masks. One family was forcibly removed because their small child who WAS wearing a mask, might take it off during the flight, though she'd shown no signs of doing that...

  44.  ꧁Cat G꧂  sorry, Pfizer has been causing blood clots as well...it just hasn't made the news because it's in Europe, and the factories for Pfizer are European....they don't want to release bad news about "their" vaccine. Haven't heard anything about Moderna, but that may be the same reason as Pfizer. Pfizer has just under the number of blood clot reactions as Astrazeneca. I would take AZ....blood clots are pretty rare, and a LOT less than ppl have gotten with covid disease. I'd probably turn down J&J not because of the clots, but because it's made in a factory where the ppl mixed the wrong chemicals and destroyed 15 million doses of vaccine, and the company has been fined over a billion dollars for having mold and dirt in the factories. Also, the vaccine is over 25% LESS effective than the other vaccines. Good luck to you!! (ps all those experts who are saying take anything? they all had Pfizer.

  47. oops! maybe don't bring up Rwanda....Hutus killed almost a million Tutstis and the UN did absolutely nothing. NObody in the West did anything at all. The neighbouring country, which had a Tutsi govt, had to send in their army to stop the killing and drive out the offending Hutus. Well, yeah, after Rwanda, i can see why the African Union wouldn't be interested. I still can't get over Russia being kicked off the human rights council after Robert Mugabe's Zimbabwe was voted ONTO it.

  49. India gets money from the US and it wouldn't surprise me if Canada sent some too....as developing poor countries. So does China. But they have space programs, and want to become a world power. China doesn't need to worry about the G 20.... the G20 talks the talk, China walks the walk....projects in 3rd world countries, loans, gifts of money etc.

Vaccine mixing has found...so far...that the 2nd dose causes quite a vaccine reaction in the 2nd dose. ps the COMPANIES that MAKE the vaccines recommend 4 WEEKS. between doses. There have been a number of severe reactions to the mRNA vaccines as well, but we're not supposed to say that in case it causes "vaccine hesitancy"
